After a few false starts, it feels like Summer is finally arriving here in Sydney. It was blazing beach weather over the weekend but sadly I didn’t get to the beach. Tomorrow is the Melbourne Cup horse race, “the race that stops the nation” and luckily our office goes to the pub for the afternoon, along with most of the country. It’s also supposed to be about 35 degrees tomorrow. Perfect weather for enjoying a beer.
What do I have in store for this summer? Beach, nakedness, sunshine, picnics with friends, hopefully finally surfing nude somewhere, camping and barbecues on our rooftop terrace. Bring it on.

Last night our clocks ticked forward an hour for daylight savings which I LOVE. Sure, I’ve missed out on an hour but it signals the start of those balmy summer evenings, long days at the beach and warmth served with a side of tanned flesh. Some friends and I are on a mission to find a location and an available weekend for a nude camping weekend. I will be on the beach a lot over summer and I’m dying to get started. There have been a couple of brief visits so far but nowhere near enough.
We’ve got one more show today for the Aerialize Annual Show. We did one on Friday night and two yesterday. We have a matinee today at 2. They are going really well and I’ve nailed the big trick which is great. Last night I was wrapping into it and went too high and nearly ran out of room to get into it, but the crowd loves the trick and it always gets a great reaction. This nearly 36 year old body is feeling it though. I have some wicked burns on my waist from another trick and a big bruise behind one knee, but I’m not complaining. I’m having an absolute blast.

With the weather that is… Today I spent a lovely few hours nude on the beach in beautiful weather with the new flatmate and a couple of friends. It’s a few weeks into Autumn officially and it was in the high 20’s (celsius) here today. It was absolutely beautiful. I don’t know how much longer it can go on, but I’m hoping we get some good weather in Byron Bay in a month’s time.
Tonight I’m off to “perform” as a statue at a corporate function. We will be dressed as punks and all we have to do is stand there perfectly still for 3 x 20 minute sessions. I don’t know if I can stand still for that long but it will be fun. I’ll try and get some photos. I picked up my mohawk headpiece yesterday and it freaking rocks.

Granted, I haven’t had much luck in the relationship department but when I have been dating or seeing someone, even back when it was girls, it seems to have been in the summer months. Almost like holiday flings.
As a natural born cuddler, it’s a strange contradiction that on the occasions where I’ve had someone there to cuddle all night, it’s been so warm that touching in anyway is almosts unbearable.
Why is it that I end up seeing people in summer? I know for one I feel sexier in summer. I’ve never been one to feel outrageously confident but when I’ve been lying in the sun, my skin is golden, my hair is a bit blonder, everyone is wearing less or hopefully nothing at all, it’s only natural that I feel more attractive. With that comes confidence and perhaps others pick up on that? There is something to be said for rampant summer sex where you end up all sweaty and breathless and then there’s the late night skinnydips at the beach.
Three days into Spring and I can’t wait to hit the beach. Any single Sydney boys wanna come down, hang out nude and say hi? ;)
