Oh the decisions

I’ve just been looking at the dates I’ve taken off work for my trip to Burning Man and it was looking like a long time in Vegas. I want to go there basically to see a couple of the permanent Cirque Du Soleil shows, “Ka” (below) and “O” and possibly “Zumanity”. But the dates I have, it was going to be 9-10 days in Vegas which is a little much in one place when I was originally hoping to get to New York City. So I’m thinking I might see if I can hit NYC as well for 4-5 nights after a few in Vegas.

Fingers crossed I’ll be able to find affordable accommodation in both cities and plan to get there and back. So exciting.

Graceful & Dangerous

I’ve long been a fan of Cirque Du Soleil and would love to see more of their shows (sadly missed the latest one to tour) but I own Allegria on DVD and love this performance. It’s so simply presented without too much fuss but with all the danger and spectacle that flying through the air 20 metres up without wires provides.

Beautiful performance.

One of the things I was really hoping to do on my planned trip to the U.S. this year was go and see a few of the permanent Cirque Du Soleil shows in Vegas. Sadly that trip isn’t happening as I’ve said, and I’m disappointed I won’t get to see the shows just yet.

I was watching videos on youtube and came across this one from Zumanity, of two guys doing a routine that looks part dance, part fight and is executed so sharply and beautifully and with such strong masculinity but with grace and elegance. It’s great to watch. Enjoy.
