I miss Big Brother

I’ve admitted it many times in the past. I’m a big voyeur. I used to watch Big Brother here, before the contestants all turned in to fame hungry trash and before they started wearing clothes in the shower, pretty much to perve on all the guys.

This guy is in British Big Brother and has the most ridiculous body. It’s stunning. What I find very amusing about this video is that the rest of the house seems to gather for no reason in the bathroom while he’s naked and showering, barely concealing their staring. Not that I blame them at all of course, and I really don’t think he minds the attention somehow. Now, why is there no frontal video?

Update: Thanks to NakedTom I’ve now been informed that this guy was not a contestant but rather part of a challenge in the house for the contestants to totally ignore anything out of the ordinary in the house. I seriously don’t know that I’d be able to ignore that guy, especially if he came and sat down nude right next to me. SO hot.

The world needs parents like this

I know this is a scripted show, and a great one at that, but this brought a tear to my eye. I know there are parents out there like this and it makes me feel good.

C’mon Glee!

Gleeks everywhere must be salivating for this episode to be hitting screens soon. Glee has been let loose on the vaults of Madonna’s works. I’ve never gotten into Glee but I have liked what I’ve seen. Sue Sylvester is the enemy of the Glee Club, the athletics coach and is played by Jane Lynch, openly gay, recently engaged and wickedly funny. She’s done a fantastic job on this version of Vogue.

Home Made Men…

There’s a lifestyle/reality show currently airing here in Australia called Homemade. It’s a renovation/decorating/elimination/bitching competition where people compete in teams to renovate two different homes but get eliminated from the poorly performing team.

These two boys are two of the remaining contestants who were all chosen for their looks design skills. Darren (left) may or may not be full of passion for his design but if he is, he’s also full of botox, because even when he’s angry, his face doesn’t move. It’s a pretty face, but I like a man to look like he might be able to at least pretend he’s interested.

Jason… Jason (right) has the guns that could end the middle eastern conflict once and for all. He’s also appeared in a catalogue for a company that my company does work for. Sadly it was before my time. His arms are the kind of arms I fantasize about using as pillows, with caution. I think if I was sleeping on his big bicep and the man sneezed I might lose my head.

Reality TV makes people cry!

No, I’m not talking about the viewers although occasionally I’ve been reduced to tears over the talent or lack there of, of the competitors. I’m actually talking about the contestants themselves.

If you watch The Biggest Loser the fat people are crying. They probably cry for a multitude of reasons, they are hungry, they are always hungry and then they’ve been made to exercise. These people have never not eaten and never exercised. They are crying because they are hungry!

America’s Next Top Model is another example. Those girls cry at the drop of a hat. If they couldn’t emote the right angst with their left eyebrow, they cry because Tyra isn’t happy. If one of the girls doesn’t like the fact that someone else got the dress they wanted… they cry. Ultimately they cry because they are hungry too!

Dance your little heart out on So You Think You Can Dance and then… cry. Cry because your family doesn’t udnerstand your passion. Cry because you’ve had to prostitute yourself to afford the prosthetic limb and dance lessons on broken glass to pursue your dream. Come to think of it, they’ve been waiting in an auditorium all day, they are probably hungry too!

Big Brother contestants have hours and hours of footage of themselves with puffy eyes and tearstained cheeks. They’ve been locked in a house with people they don’t like for three months, of course they are upset. But hang on… didn’t they audition for that? Of course they did, because they are “Crazy!” and up for anything. Now they aren’t happy because they are stuck in a house eating bad food. Dammit, they are hungry too!

Note to TV Producers, keep your stars hungry, it makes for unmissable car crash television.

I know the photo above isn’t related at all, but the guy had such a pretty doodle. Works for me.

I’d dance with this star!

Dancing with the stars is shortly about to shimmy it’s way back onto our TV screens with a, thankfully, new host, the hot Daniel Macpherson. One of the celebrities about to flex his dancing muscles is AFL star, Collingwood player, Paul Licuria.

He’s one of the glamour boys of AFL but from what I can see he actually has a bit of talent on the field. I may actually tune in to one or two of the shows to see how he goes and see if he matches his former team mate Brodie Holland’s outfits on the show a couple of years ago.

Don’t forget to go here to vote in the first Aussielicious Awards, where Daniel Macpherson is in the running!

It makes you wonder why

Next Sunday the next season of Australian Idol kicks off here and as much as I love the show and it’s car crash moments, I wonder why they are bothering. Each year the winner has been less successful than the previous year to the point where last year’s winner, Natalie Gauci released her winners single and has never been heard of again. I know they chose to let her record and release and album of new material instead of rushing out a winners album, but surely the moment has passed and no one gives a rats arse any more

A mixed bag of a weekend

My weekend has been one of ups and downs. On Friday night my flatmate and I had a night on the lounge watching “Empire of the Sun” on DVD. Christian Bale was fantastic and the cinematography was beautiful.

Yesterday (saturday) I had some very average casual sex, which just goes to prove why I don’t bother most of the time. Sure there are urges but I really do prefer my shenanigans to have some emotional content. Pole class afterwards was great as we are learning a new routine for the show at Slide which is great and the costumes are stunning. A night out last night was fun and a laugh with some new friends.

Today I’ve had a lovely lunch in the park with other friends, but both yesterday in the evening and  again this afternoon I’ve had really bad headaches and I think I’m coming down with a pretty solid cold. So it’s a quiet night watching the first episode of “America’s Next Top Model”. We are at least two seasons behind the U.S. but I love watching the skinny 21 year olds get grumpy from hunger and tell each other they know everything about modelling and life, only to then prove how little they know.
