Gratuitous naked men dancing.

Since I discovered clips from Fratmen online a couple of years ago I’ve loved watching the very sexy clips whenever I find another one. Fratmen is the original and the best of this brand of site in my opinion. Yes the guys jack off and even blow each other from time to time but for me the hottest aspect is the complete shameless exhibitionism of these hot muscled 20-somethings.

Of course I’ve never lived in a frat house but in my imagination that is exactly what it’s like. This video is great fun. There’s no sexual element, just a bunch of guys in a house, nude jumping around for all of us to appreciate. Apart from food and board I wonder if they make decent money from it?

The near perfect mix

This morning, for the first day of 2012, I woke up at about 8am to a perfectly blue sky which has been all too rare in Sydney of late, so I had some breakfast and by 10am I was lying butt naked on the beach reading a book with a handful of others sharing the beach.

By the time I left just over 3 hours later I’d witnessed an almost perfect mix of people on the beach.

There were the 60+ year old lesbian couple with their boobs to their knees, the young family, the young straight couple trying to find the balance between their first trip to a nude beach and their attraction to each other. There were a few people who would be clinically defined as morbidly obese, but still soaking up the sunshine dressed in nothing but a smile. There was the lovely 50 year old guy who had grown up nudist and made good conversation.

In recent times my favoured nude beach has been getting less and less nude and even raided by police, but today I would say that the nudies outnumbered the textiles, or at least that’s how it felt.

I came home and lazed around the house nude relaxing and reading. Altogether I would say it was a blissful start to the year!

The first shoot is done!

After a very restless sleep on Thursday night, wondering if I was ready for it, I photographed my first model for my next exhibition. Willi is a fantastic young guy with a really generous spirit and a great energy.

We got to Obelisk nude beach on the north side of Sydney’s iconic harbour at 6.30 am and the clouds had all vanished leaving us with beautiful blue sky and gorgeous morning light. Before I’d even had to ask, Willi was nude and ready to go. I love a model that isn’t shy.

This shot isn’t going to be used in this exhibition but I wanted to share something from the shoot with my lovely readers!

The Nude Blacks do the Haka.

The nude version of the Kiwi All Blacks rugby team, the Nude Blacks, have had a lot of coverage on the internet for their naked rugby playing, and this is a good video of their Haka. The Haka is a traditional Maori intimidation ritual designed to scare opponents off.

As much as I love the idea of sports being played nude, I do question the logic in playing winter sports, in cold locations like New Zealand, in the nude. I know there’s lots of running around, but damn, it’s got to be uncomfortable.

This is real estate advertising.

With the economy forcing everyone to tighten their belts and  property prices stabilising or even dropping, it’s a tough market out there to sell beautiful luxury homes. So what does one do? Resort to the old adage of sex sells. This is a real estate advertisement for a beautiful property on Queensland’s Gold Coast. They’ve used the rather beautiful assets of Aussie model Ryan Burke who has been featured in DNA and  whom I would happily let wander around my luxury house nude anytime he liked.

Another self portrait.

Those of you that followed the self portrait challenge a couple of months ago will remember the beautiful self portrait submitted by Curtis that won the audiences votes. You can see it here.

Well Curtis admitted at the time that he doesn’t usually shoot people but I suggested he should do it more often because his photography is beautiful and his self portrait was very striking. Curtis has taken up the challenge and done another self portrait, this time he’s even gotten nude for it.

Thanks Curtis! Readers, stay tuned for another competition!

Not impressed

The first 5 days of our official summer have made it the coldest start to summer in 50 years according to the weather reports. It’s also predicted to be a wet summer. I don’t think it will come as a surprise to anyone that that is not news that will impress me.

I’ve got an exhibition to shoot for that is all outdoors and hopefully sunshine. I’ve also got a road trip up north to visit friends planned where we were hoping to do lots of time nude on the beach or in their pool.

Have you got a sneaky hat?

You know you are getting old when you hear about a new internet craze probably moments before it becomes lame. I’m not sure where I’m up to on this latest one that I heard about today, called “Sneaky Hat”. The idea of this one is much less physically dangerous than planking but I’m sure it will be done in legally and physically dangerous places.

The idea is to get nude, and cover anything you feel the need to cover, with a hat. As one example I saw on tumblr today showed, you can even use the hat of a housemate you aren’t particularly fond of. Some of these guys prove you can even do it hands free.

David’s nude Hawaii

David took part in our recent Self Portrait Challenge here on Aussielicious and is a big fan of nude beaches and Hawaii, so he’s kindly sent in these photos and his own run down on the nude beach situation in Hawaii.

Hawaii used to be one place in the world in which there was never a problem being naked in public just about anytime you wanted to. Hawaii has always had a live and let live attitude about just about everything and although nudity was officially prohibited at public beaches, this ordinance was almost never enforced. If you wanted to go for a late-day swim and you forgot your bathing suit, on any weekday you could pretty much head for a deserted local beach, strip off and enjoy the Pacific’s warm waters. Although there are no official nude beaches on any of the Hawaiian Islands, several have decidedly been designated nude beaches by the local population. Two of the largest and best are Little Beach on Maui and Donkey Beach on Kauai. Little Beach in Makena is situated on cliffs overlooking Big Beach and is a bit of a challenge to get to, having to climb up some pretty steep cliffs and then head down an unpaved path to the beach. Once you’re there, it’s a nudist’s paradise, usually frequented by surfers, boogie boarders, Frisbee throwers, gay and straight couples of all ages, almost all of whom enjoy being naked together.

Some of the photos of me seen here were taken on Little Beach. Donkey Beach on Kauai has been a nude beach since the late 1960s, when it was often visited by stoned-out hippies. I’ve been getting naked on that beach for the past twenty years. It was originally an unmarked beach at the 11 mile marker, north of Kapa’a. You simply parked your car on the road and walked through an unpaved sugar cane field, following a rock path down to the beach. Unfortunately in recent years, a developer purchased the land from the sugar cane company and elected to build high-end houses valued in excess of three million dollars on the property. A parking lot has been installed, as well as a paved path to the beach, the once secluded beach being secluded no more. You can usually find a mixture of clothed and unclothed bathers on the beach but this is no longer the “hang loose” beach that it used to be. Several of the photos of me were taken at Donkey Beach and you can notice the folks in the background who are fully clothed, while I was enjoying my nakedness. Still both beaches are definitely worth a visit, if you heading out to either Maui or Kauai.

Frozen in a moment

This video really captured my attention when I saw it yesterday. I’ve posted in the past that I love dance photography. Taking movement and freezing it in a visually pleasing way is really hard to do but when it’s done well at just the right time, it’s gorgeous.

I have a vague concept of how this might have been done, but that’s as far as it goes. However it’s been done, I love it. Water and moving bodies nearly always look beautiful and this is no exception.

Divine luxury

When I hit Vegas I intended to go to a Korean Baths that I had heard about but when I got to my hotel the guy at the counter told me he’d heard good things about Qua Spa at Caesar’s Palace. Well, I can guarantee that anything good that you hear is correct. It is a very luxurious roman baths style of spa with separate men’s and women’s areas. Each has a baths section with warm, hot and cold baths as well as having a steam room, a sauna, an aromatherapy steam room and a cool room that is “snowing” bubbles of moisturising foam.

Given that it’s in a luxurious Casino Hotel, don’t expect the prices to be cheap, but for a weary traveller who had been in dusty desert for a week, $45 to soak, nude in luxury for a few hours was a price I was more than willing to pay.

How do you want me?

This coming Saturday evening in Sydney, for one night only, a photographic exhibition will be on display from Sydney photographer and blogger Luke Austin called “How do you want me?”

The concept behind the exhibition is that all the subjects have been photographed free of any of the social armour they put on to face the world. They are photographed straight out of the shower.

Despite Luke getting a lot more participants than expected most of them were still a little shy and wanted some modesty, provided either by a hand, a towel or some other safety net for them.

If you are in Sydney this Saturday afternoon, head along to Fraser Studios, 10 Kensington Street, Chippendale from 4pm – 8pm. I know I’ll be going along.

Etiquette for the modern homosexual #13

As a nudist there are extra rules or social constraints that one must adhere to on top of those for a day-to-day or clothed life.

There are behavioral aspects to nudism that tend to upset people when they are not conformed to. Standing near the only entrance to a nude beach whilst fondling yourself so it is unmistakable nor unavoidable is the best possible thing to do. One does tend to love seeing that kind of thing as one arrives for a peaceful day at the beach.

One also loves the very generous offer of the slightly socially awkward close-to-geriatric man who is clearly trying to push his social boundaries and comfort levels by wandering past people and offering a blow job. Sadly the gentleman in question seems to be muttering his very generous offer too quietly as no one is taking him up on the offer and thus clearly not hearing him.

If one is using nudist networking websites it is also very important that your photos show, without doubt that you are indeed a naked nudist. If possible, one should spread ones legs as widely as possible to ensure that there is no anatomical detail missed.

Lessons in celebrity nudity

Looking at these images above of Lenny Kravitz, soulful superstar, we can gleam a few details. We know Lenny appears to be quite fond of piercings. He also seems to be quite fond of tattoos. Judging by the different hair styles, these photos were taken on at least three different occasions. What does that tell us? It tells us that Lenny has absolutely no qualms about being nude, but that he also isn’t big on maintaining a grooming regime downstairs.

Lenny lives on an island in Barbados and after seeing all these nude pics of him, I’m picturing him walking lazily around the white beaches and swimming in the blue waters of Barbados, nude, possibly sharing a spliff with his mates.

So… what is Burning Man?

To be honest, I can’t really tell you what Burning Man is. Officially it’s an alternative arts festival and an experiment in gift giving and radical self expression. I would say it’s part hippy festival, part rave, part giant school camp with no teachers, and a whole lot of fun, but even that doesn’t go close to describing it.

Yes there was lots of bullshit psychology flying around, and some people felt the need to do their yoga in the middle of centre camp with an audience, but that’s part of it too. If you like being watched, then go for it.

There wasn’t as much nudity as expected, and I felt self conscious and unfit with all the 20-somethings with six packs in my camp, but I still did the nude pub crawl bike ride (4th pic from the left, I’m on the right) and happily showered outside.

The shots above are courtesy of the back country boys and scenic boys.
