This is Crik, he’s taken up the nudity challenge for us. I’m not sure where in the world Crik is but he took these photos in the local park and in a shopping centre that’s being constructed nearby. I wonder if he’s going to get naked in the shopping centre when it’s finished and open?

Two weeks ago I posted a photo of three of the Bel Ami boys, just because it’s pretty. Today I bring you 7 of them. Just because. I’ve always wanted to sail around the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland for a week on a boat and just laze around nude, skinnydipping, enjoying fresh seafood and cold beer/wine in the tropical sunshine. One day soon I’ll get there.
Why is it, do you think, that some cultures have developed to be more comfortable with nudity than others? Here in Australia, younger guys and more beautiful guys are definitely on the minority end of the scale when it comes to nude beaches or social nudity. It seems to be more the domain of the older guys, less body conscious guys. I wish more guys had the confidence of the older guys here and acceptance of their own bodies.
In Europe it seems that nudity is more acceptable and the younger generations are brought up with the fantastic belief that nudity among friends, peers and even in general is healthy. I noticed a definite trend when I was in Spain several years ago, people watching as one does, that you see really hot guys and girls arrive at the nude beach and happily strip off with their mates. Here you’ll see groups of friends arrive and all leave their swimming costume on.
Every now and then you come across a new photo from the stables of Bel Ami baby-gay-for-pay boys. They are beautiful and the vast majority of them have spectacular bodies, but that’s because they are in that blissful age range where you don’t put on fat but you are starting to build muscle and you have hard-ons just from a gentle breeze. Delicious, but it does make the rest of us feel a little old.
Sometimes sticking to a tradition really works. Like this nude Rugby match held on a New Zealand beach every year. They call it the Tri-Nations series and this match was fought out with bitter rivals South Africa. Both countries are passionate about their rugby but I don’t think anyone can beat the Kiwis for their obsession with the game. They even did the nude Haka. I don’t know how cold it was there but it might not have been as intimidating as it’s intended to be.
I’ve just received to comments on my post about random groups of nude guys implying hypocrisy for not posting nude frontal shots of myself on here when I’m trying to promote nudity and acceptance.
I’ve long said on this blog that I won’t post frontal nudes on here of myself because friends and work colleagues read this blog from time to time and it would make them very uncomfortable.
There is also a huge difference to hanging out naked and being seen naked with friends or on the nude beach or wherever and posting full frontals on the internet. If you can’t understand the difference and my reasons for not doing it then I don’t know how to explain it to you to make it clear. If I ever have a photo taken that I’m really proud of or think is really good and you happen to be able to see my penis then I may post it but it’s unlikely. I also don’t want to give those select few people out there who in the past have found sport in abusing me, any more amunition to attack me for no reason.
I share quite a lot on this blog and sometimes wonder if that was a mistake because if you share a little, people expect even more. If I didn’t share personal stuff and post some photos of myself, this blog wouldn’t be what it has become and I don’t regret it but don’t have a go at me for sticking to my principles.
This blog is my personal little campaign to promote nudity as a healthy option for people. It’s kinda scaring me seeing how prudish people are getting, changing under towels at the gym and basically associating nudity exclusively with sexual activity. These photos prove that there are some guys under 50 that are comfortable letting their mates see them naked without panicking. Keep it up I say.
A couple of my mates are working out together occasionally and one of them is quite comfortable, as one would expect in my opinion, stripping off and changing in the locker room after the work out. The other one goes on about not wanting to see his friends junk and calls the other one an exhibitionist.
I don’t get what the fuss is about. Most of my male friends have seen me naked at some point and while I realise that some people are more modest than others I don’t get why being someone’s friend makes them someone you want to avoid being seen by. So, my question tonight to you all is, are you comfortable with your friends seeing you naked, in the shower, gym, beach or anywhere?
I love these photos of groups of guys just casually showering nude together even out in the open. Personally I think it’s how things should be.
In the past I’ve very much been guilty of being a “gonna”, that is I’m gonna do this, I’m gonna do that. This cold weather that we are having reminded me of a statement I think I made last winter that I was going to get out and explore nature and go camping and be naked in nature more often. I read the Scenic Boys blog and see how relaxing it is to get out of the city but never seem to do it myself.
Just looking at these photos reminds me that I need to do that. I’m guilty of getting “stuck” in my routine and the city.
A reader sent me the link to an article by someone that was made to swim nude for class at school many years ago. I’ve read bits and pieces about nude swimming at the YMCA and in school classes for the boys in the 50’s and 60’s and there are contradictory stories. Some guys hated being made to be nude and others revelled in it. I’d love to hear from any readers than have experienced these nude swims either at school or at the local YMCA or equivalent.
These photos aren’t from those situations but are perfect examples of those old times when men, in this case soldiers, could swim nude and relax together without any concerns of sexuality etc. Simpler times I think. Sure there were gay people but because they sadly couldn’t be open then so in a way it led to more freedom for guys to be nude.
I’m still a bit cloudy from the vodka last night and not enough sleep. So I’ll have to attempt to write something more profound later this afternoon, or maybe I’ll just write some more random stuff. This blog isn’t one of those carefully planned strategic things. It pretty much represents my thought patterns, which for the most part are a bit random and largely occupied with thoughts of hot naked men.
Our weekend up the coast was wet and rainy but lots of fun just chilling out around a beautiful house for a few days. There was a fireplace and good heating so four of us were quite comfortable wandering around nude and watching dvds. We even got a brief stint nude on the beach in some sun. It’s quite entertaining to have people cooking bacon and eggs for breakfast and trying to light fireplaces while they are nude. I did get the giggles a couple of times because to a lot of people it would be unheard of to wander around nude but for us it is perfectly normal.
We are planning another one of our nude dinner/drinks gatherings for a few weeks time hopefully. It will be great to have a large group together to hang nude again.
This is a classic, he’s even got a costume!
