On Wednesday night another renovation & design show started on Australian television called Top Design. It’s hosted by Jamie Durie, who I think is one of the nice guys on Australian television. Jamie first came to our attention many years ago as part of the male strip review called Manpower, known as Thunder from Down Under in the U.S. I believe.
Jamie used his time on the road with Manpower to study horticulture and design and has since become a coveted designer and along the way, been given a huge boost when Oprah herself recognised his talents.
I first noticed Jamie in the photographs James Houston did of Manpower. Let’s call them beefcake art photos. Jamie still has that cheeky smile and sparkle in his eyes that I always like. He has a beautiful house in the Hollywood Hills which he said in a recent article was really private and perfect for wandering around naked.
