And we’re back!

Thank goodness that’s over. I’m not entirely sure what that was all about but apparently the server people thought there was some security issue so they turned off Aussielicious. It’s all resolved and we are back up and running. Thanks to everyone for the nice emails showing concern.

Not being able to blog myself or access my blogroll of my favourite blogs for a few days made me realise just how much I enjoy doing this blog! I’m not going anywhere and if or when I do decide to end Aussielicious, I’ll let you know, I won’t just turn it off like that!

How often do you drop by?

I know that people read this blog for a bunch of different reasons but mostly it’s the naked men that get people in. I’m curious as to how often you all come and read Aussielicious?

A pleasant surprise

Every now and then I come home to a package sitting waiting for me. Tonight was one of those nights. A reader of this blog had very very generously bought me a copy of Francois Rousseau’s book “Amor Causa” which is quite a striking, yet unusual book.

It’s a photography book that is full of religious themed photography shot around Rio. Not being a religious person, I don’t know all the references but the photos are so beautiful with Francois’ stunning lighting and gorgeous compositions.

Thank you very much to the reader that bought me the book, and all the other readers that have generously opened up their wallets for me!

Cool stuff to come

I had a meeting after work yesterday that will not only result in me supplementing my income, but will also result in some very cool content for this blog and some great opportunities for me working with a company that I really respect and feel very enthusiastic about.

After the meeting I went and saw a play at Darlinghurst Theatre, called Blowing Whistles. It’s all about the demise of a ten year gay relationship when one partner enthusiastically and dishonestly embraces the open-ish nature of their relationship. The guy that plays the bit of trade that is the catalyst for the break up walks in and soon after comes back onto the stage completely naked. To say there were audible gasps would be an understatement. I’d say the actor is about 23 and surely owes someone some body fat. He was so ripped, like a lot of us were at that age, but had more muscle than I had at that age. A little blonde pocket rocket, he was beautiful. His character was supposed to be white trash, straight but bi curious and butch. That’s where it kinda fell down for me. He walked out naked, and while a beautiful sight, there aren’t many straight acting blokes who shave/wax their entire pubic region, and have a flawless, seamless spray/sunbed tan and blonde highlights.

A huge thank you

Three years ago today, I posted my first post on Aussielicious in it’s original incarnation. Very shortly after I started the public nudity challenge and things went crazy. Every since, this blog has been a labour of love with 2,222 posts, countless comments and emails, thousands of cocks, bums, boys and bits and pieces.
The response I’ve had from everyone from the far reaches of the planet has been amazing. While there has been some negative comments, by a very long way, the feedback, emails and comments has been overwhelmingly positive. People have bought me presents and said thank you in lots of ways, but for me the most satisfying and unexpected emails are the ones where people have said my little corner of the blogosphere has kept them entertained while going through cancer, helped them come to terms with their sexuality and inspired them to come out to their family! Incredible.

Aussielicious has also brought about some incredible experiences and opportunities for me. I’ve done a modelling shoot for Aussiebum, given a public talk about blogging at the Mardi Gras festival and interviewed some amazing people. I can’t wait to see what else is in store for myself and Aussielicious and it’s readers. Bring on another three years. Thank you all for being part of it and making it so much fun.

I turn three tomorrow.

I realised last week that Aussielicious is about to have it’s third birthday which means the Brenton that you all know, Aussielicious Brenton, in a way is turning three. I’m pretty open and honest on this blog and the Brenton that you are reading is basically the real Brenton. Obviously there is some editing that goes on. You’d all die of boredom if I wrote down the dull bits and pieces that fill my every day.

Aussielicious hits three tomorrow. I’ll be posting a message and a video tomorrow in honour of the occasion. Of course, I thought the photos above would be appropriate. Now if there are any gorgeous naked buff men that want to jump out of a cake naked for the birthday, don’t hesitate. Birthday messages scrawled on naked flesh are also welcome!

Flat out week

Sorry for not posting yesterday but I had a bit of a deadline happening at work and had a headache when I got home. Then I rushed out to have a lovely relaxed night with some friends of mine who’d been out of town for weeks.

It’s a large farewell… for now

One of the bloggers that I’ve admired most for some time now has hung up his blogging boots. He’s been blogging for four years now and set today as the date, the fourth anniversary of his first post (it’s still the first in the U.S.), to post his last post. Large Tony is one of those writers that takes you somewhere delicious with every word. He can be funny, deeply emotional, cock-sure or humble, but whatever he’s trying to get across, you’ll know exactly what it is.

It’s been a pleasure reading your blog Tony and exchanging emails and stories with you. Good luck with the Attorney, for Granny and for which ever of those silly football teams it is that you follow.

For those of you who’ve never read Big-T’s (or is that tease?) writing, head on over and check it out, and if you want to know why he’s called Large Tony, it’s because he’s tall. Well, that and the other reason

Barely moving

I’m sorry for the complete lack of updates over the last few days. Today is the 3rd day in a row i’ve been in bed with the flu. I took myself off to the doctor this morning and he’s given me some antibiotics which hopfeully will have me back on track quick smart. Today I don’t feel quite as dead as the last couple of days.

I’m a bad blogger

I’m so sorry for the slackness in my postings for the last few days. Yesterday I left the house for work and went straight out to see “Dark Knight” after work and a meal and didn’t get home til midnight.

Work has been very busy this week, sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a less good way. I’ve been out and about all day today going here there and everywhere and I’m about to put clean sheets on my bed and go curl up for a night’s sleep. I promise to do better tomorrow.

Tomorrow… It’s going to be a tiring but fun day. It’s my niece’s 3rd birthday tomorrow and we are having a party and in the afternoon I’m taking my nephew to the movies to see Kung Fu Panda. I love having a niece and nephew. Not only do you get to share fun times with them, they are a great disguise when you want to go see a kids movie without looking odd.

Sorry posting is a bit slow

Sorry posting is a bit slow this week. I have started a 6 – 8 week contract and working 8:30 – 5:30 has been a shock to the system after barely having any work for weeks but a welcome change. Last night I babysat my niece (nearly 3) and nephew (5.5) and for once they were REALLY good for me. Laughing, giving me hugs, doing what they were told and still having fun. Loved it.

Staying afloat

I haven’t had much work the last few weeks and regular calls to my agency that gets me work are starting to drive them mad I’m sure. They are great people and have always seen me through but things are getting tight at the moment. If anyone is feeling generous, please feel free to click the donate button on the right to help keep Aussielicious afloat!

The Naked Vlog Challenge

Surfing from link to link on youtube I came across this Naked Vlog tagging challenge that is going around. The idea is to post a vlog or video blog but you have to be naked, it’s been going around the world with heaps of people doing it and I thought it fit pretty well with Aussielicious and it’s nudity challenge roots. I’m tagging Matt, the guys from Frisky Frolic and thinking about it I’m also adding Chris and Tony to that challenge! Are you up to it boys?

R U 4 MEN?

The guys over at the online lifestyle mag U4MEN.com have just posted a profile of me, my photography and my blog on their site. Thanks guys!

Fraser Island – the video

I put this together today. It’s 4 minutes of images and short videos of our trip away last week to Fraser Island. I have to say it was a really good short break and so beautiful.
