We are still officially in the last few days of Winter here in Australia but the signs of summer are on the way. It’s not dark when I leave work anymore. It’s going to be great to come home from work and still have the option of going down for a swim at the beach or enjoy a bit of warm daylight of an evening.
This summer I hope we get hours and hours of nude sunshine time at the beach. I’m sick of being pale and having to rug up.
This morning I’m starting with a gentle start. I’m leaving you to contemplate this beautiful image which I think is a Bruce Weber shot. He’s an absolute master of capturing the beauty of youth, most of the time nude.
I’m hoping that my day at work isn’t too long and I’ll get a chance to post something tonight. The contract I’ve been working on has been to put together a 64 page fishing catalogue and it’s going to print tomorrow. Fingers crossed we’ll get it all finalised today.
Why is it, do you think, that some cultures have developed to be more comfortable with nudity than others? Here in Australia, younger guys and more beautiful guys are definitely on the minority end of the scale when it comes to nude beaches or social nudity. It seems to be more the domain of the older guys, less body conscious guys. I wish more guys had the confidence of the older guys here and acceptance of their own bodies.
In Europe it seems that nudity is more acceptable and the younger generations are brought up with the fantastic belief that nudity among friends, peers and even in general is healthy. I noticed a definite trend when I was in Spain several years ago, people watching as one does, that you see really hot guys and girls arrive at the nude beach and happily strip off with their mates. Here you’ll see groups of friends arrive and all leave their swimming costume on.
The picture on the right turned up in my email a few weeks ago and I was impressed. Whoever this guy is he has a spectacular body and a passion for some ink and it’s working well for him. Then the photo on the right turned up a few days ago and from the back this guy is just as good, if not better! Damn, that butt defies gravity and the muscles in his back, hmmm, my fingers could trace down that back quite happily.
I’m still waiting to hear if the Korean baths are going to open soon, as they are a great winter alternative to the beach for being in water and nude. It’s my therapy, well until I get real therapy. Being in the water lets all my baggage float away.
Sometimes sticking to a tradition really works. Like this nude Rugby match held on a New Zealand beach every year. They call it the Tri-Nations series and this match was fought out with bitter rivals South Africa. Both countries are passionate about their rugby but I don’t think anyone can beat the Kiwis for their obsession with the game. They even did the nude Haka. I don’t know how cold it was there but it might not have been as intimidating as it’s intended to be.
Winter has hit hard the last week here in Sydney. It’s cold by our standards and bloody wet. I’d much rather be where these guys are, with these guys too. Fine bunch o’ butts they’ve got going on.
We all know that as soon as you take something away that’s when you miss it the most. Today the sun is out in Sydney but it’s still not warm. Winter is fast approaching and it’s predicted to be a cold wet one. All I feel like doing is going skinnydipping and lying in the sun soaking up the outdoors with some friends.
I never got around to finding a good camping spot to spend some good nude time in nature this summer. I’m determined to make it happen next summer.
Recently I posted a shot of a surfer in a wetsuit and a surfer nude in the water together and posed the question of how you would react if someone surfed past you naked.
A couple of days ago I came across this photo of the same guys that shows exactly how a guy in a wetsuit reacted! The look on his face is priceless. It’s that exact moment that he’s realised that the guy he was about to say hey to is actually completely naked! I love it.
My favourite nude beach is under threat and I’m not happy about it. It’s never been an official nude beach but has been accepted as a nude beach long before I started going there nine or ten years ago. Rangers went around a couple of weeks ago warning everyone that fines will be issued soon if they are caught nude on the beach. I’m not sure why the sudden crack down but they threatened it a couple of summers ago but nothing eventuated. I hope this fades away too!
I have no idea where this is but I’m sure these guys were just using the mud for it’s mineral content and the benefits for their skin, right? Surely! Guys don’t just get nude and muddy for a laugh do they?
It’s a shame they left their shorts on for the mud application, would have been cool to see them completely covered in mud, but their white butts do look funny this way I guess.
This morning I dropped a friend who is staying with me at Bondi beach to catch up with one of his friends and I took the opportunity to wander around and people (man) watch, a favourite past time. I’m not a huge fan of Bondi, it’s a beautiful beach but the 1km long promenade is seen as a bit of a catwalk by a lot of people wanting to pose, even though a lot of them shouldn’t. There were several however that could, should and thankfully did.
These photos that I hastily snapped on my phone, do not do this guy justice at all. A bit of a pocket rocket at around 5’7″ he was total lean beef. At around 5% body fat, I’m guessing he had about a 28 inch waist and shoulders as wide as he was tall. Oh to have had my real camera with a long lens on it.
