Incomnipotent. As you can surmise it is a combination of incompetent and omnipotent. The meaning? It essentially means universally useless. I’ll use it in a sentence for you. Brenton has come to the realisation that he is incomnipotent at flirting.

A friend on facebook and a long time reader of my blog today emailed me with a question that I have to admit, left me a bit disappointed. He saw that a guy I have not long ago photographed for my exhibition is friends with an aspiring Aussie porn star who has headed to the U.S. with his boyfriend to see how he goes in the business. The email was even called “The company one keeps” in the subject line, essentially throwing judgement on my model purely because his friend is a porn star. The email then went on to ask if I’d ever shoot someone that had done porn.

Guess what? I’ve photographed guys DOING porn. That’s right, balls deep inside each other with my lens capturing the action. I’ve also taken photos for a friend to help him get into the porn industry. He’s gone on to do a few films but only dabbles from time to time now when his exhibitionist tendencies need satisfying. I’ve also photographed the gorgeous man above, now filming for Lucas Entertainment under the name Tate Ryder.

The inference of the email was that there should still be some kind of shame involved in even knowing a porn star. I know for a fact that the person who wrote the email watches porn. How on earth can you get stimulation from porn, watch porn, get hard over porn and still think of the people providing you with that intimate entertainment as lesser people because of their choice to do so. The person that sent the email has also taken nude photos of themselves and shared them with me, which may not officially be porn and may not be paid work, but it’s still a naked image of yourself.

It’s disappointing that in this day and age where we are still fighting for equality and civil rights that we can so easily turn around and hypocritically judge others.

Every now and then my mind goes to some odd places, sometimes inspired by things I’ve seen, sometimes not. On the weekend I had seen lots of hot straight guys around and I got to thinking about what the collective noun for a group of hot straight men would be. It could also be the same term straight women use for a group of hot gay men. I’m claiming creation rights to the term, a group of hot straight men is now known as a ‘Frustration’.

Of course once I started down that path my mind went wandering. What would you call a group of lesbians? I toyed with the idea of calling them a ‘Birkenstock’ but figured the company might not like me co0pting their name. I also toyed with a ‘Menstruation’ but oddly enough it didn’t sit well on my tongue. Eventually I decided that, in honour of the lesbian specific (and baffling) sex act, the collective noun for a group of lesbians is a “Scissor”.

This is, of course a list that I shall be adding to over time. I’m also naming a group of young children a ‘Mess’, a group of parents shall be known as a ‘Breed’ and a group of screaming One Direction fans will be known to me as a ‘Terror’.

This video is one that I’ve shared with you before from Kirill over at Active Naturists but it seemed suitable because I’d LOVE to be soaking in a nice hot bath like that, outdoor in beautiful scenery. Sydney is getting a new Korean/Ginseng Baths but not for a few months yet sadly so this winter will be spent finding alternatives.

 

When you think of Punk Rock music you think tattoos, tough guys and loud noise. Do you think about transgender Rock Gods? Probably not. Tom Gabel, lead singer of Against Me! is about to challenge all of that. The 6’2″ front man from the band and happily married husband to Heather has just started his transition from male to female and in an interview with Rolling Stone has said that he’ll live as a woman for a full year before considering gender reassignment surgery.

I have to admit that my knowledge of transgenderism is pretty limited but I imagine the bravery it takes to tell your wife that you no longer want to be a man is pretty immense. The fantastic thing about Tom’s wife Heather is that she is standing by him the whole way. She’s admitted that she’s been surprised that she hasn’t felt angry and has decided to just roll with whatever happens.

Tom will be known as Laura Jane Grace, also not a very Punk Rock name. When I hear that name Laura Jane Grace I think of floral dresses and house keeping not, as Tom puts it “imagine me, six-foot-two, in heels, f—ing screaming into someone’s face.”

I apologise that getting this voting happening has taken a while for the repetition challenge but I’ve had a couple of very busy/challenging/blah weeks at work etc and there’s a bit of work involved. The photo above is a submission that slipped through the cracks and was never posted in the challenge but was a valid entry, submitted before the deadline and is included in the voting. When one is proposing marriage to one’s beloved, you only need to get down on ONE knee. I know “the gays” tend to favour both knees, but that should be saved for one he has said yes.

When you are planning your wedding it’s important to copy exactly all the rituals that make an “opposite sex” wedding so special. Mind numbingly boring speeches are a must, as is a drunken aunt or uncle trying to disrupt the proceedings. One of the happy couple must take over the role of Bridezilla, because we all know that there is a man and a woman role in every gay relationship.

Toasting your husband it is very important to say that he is your “rock” and he “completes you” and all the proper cliches otherwise your wedding will be null and void, which brings me to the next point. If one does not conduct a gay marriage properly, it will not be registered on the abomination registry and nor will it contribute to the destruction of the sanctity of marriage as we all know that every time a gay couple gets married a straight couple is forced, at gunpoint, to divorce. It’s in the rules.

Once you have settled in to domestic bliss, revelling in the fact that you have destroyed “traditional marriage” and you have thought about adopting a child or co parenting with some lovely heathen lesbians, you must first consider the ramifications. Your decision will force good christian parents to have a very very awkward 5 second conversation with their own children about why your child has two daddies. It’s impossible for a child to understand “because they love each other” and it will break their soul. You will also need to start training your child to the ways of the gay army. If they show any sign of being heterosexual, you must immediately force them to play with a homosexual appropriate gender based toy. You may be happy for little Johnny to be interested in girls but you will weaken the foundation of “heathen marriage”.

If you are comfortable with all of these obligations to destroy the beauty that is a marriage between a man and a woman, then you are free to marry.
