Let’s try this voting again.

I’m very sorry to do this to everyone, but we have to start the voting for the self portrait challenge again. I had a couple of people accuse me of rigging the challenge and showing favouritism by using Hiram’s self portrait to illustrate the post with the poll. This has made me really angry for a few reasons. I give my readers more credit than to believe that they can be so easily influenced in voting for a challenge by just voting for the first thing they see. Secondly, I have put thousands of hours into this blog for over 7 years and I don’t make any money from the blog apart from the very rare tiny fee from a paid advertisement which doesn’t even go close to covering the domain name cost etc. Nor do I have to actually run challenges and encourage creativity and fun with my readers but I enjoy it so I keep doing it. Being accused of rigging a challenge where there isn’t even a real prize is downright offensive. To the commenters that accused me of rigging the challenge I ask you, what on earth did I have to gain from doing that?

Now back to business. There are 16 different photos for you to choose from in this photography challenge. Before you vote, I’ll remind you of the criteria. The winner of this challenge will win a print of the winning entry from the last challenge and also, their winning entry will be offered as the prize for the next challenge. So keep in mind which image you think will look best as a piece of art.

To view the images click here (NSFW, and make sure you click through to the second page) and then vote in the poll below. You have a week to vote. Good luck!

    Brenton,

Haters gonna hate. It’s what they do best. Do your best to not let them drag you down to their level. Keep up the great work!

Didn’t know you were so easily offended… I voted for Hiram again, and I will make it again and again and again… relax, my friend.

We love you Brent! I know I will come in last but hey..it was fun anyway!! Hope you like the Norwegian naked guy skijumping! Mark

Sorry you even bothered to listen to those complaints. It’s fun just to participate in these photo challenges. I couldn’t care less who wins.

Ignore ‘em Brenton. This is your little corner of the internet and you get to do as you please. If people are really that frustrated by a friendly competition you created, then tell them to buzz off.

No worries Brenton. Happy to review
Ew the hotties again. Great that you are so fair minded . Love your blog and outlook on life. If they get you down go for a nudie swim at Obelisk!

I can think of a few ways to rig online polls. Here are some (which I think a few of the visitors here are already aware of):

    a. clear cookies of your browser
    b. power cycle your modem
    c. perform ipconfig/release and /renew on the command prompt

Those are the things on top of my head (effective if you have a dynamic IP address) but I am sure there are other ways out there if you Google.

Wow! You’re worthy of a conspiracy theory. :-) I can’t imagine anyone thinking that it was rigged but the good news is…
I didn’t get to vote the first time so now I get to vote! Keep up the good work on your blog. You’re my connection to life Down Under.

  12. 12 Colin

    We LOVE you Brenton !

I’ve never known you to be anything other than genuine and upfront in everything you’ve done on this blog…

I love the blog and appreciate all the effort you put into it! Keep up the great work.

I voted for Kelly. That photo kinda suggests a story of that exhausted satisfying moment just after a ravenous top has just left the building.
