Adam Hill is an Australian comedian who hosts a couple of different tv shows here. His humour is clever and informed. Adam took offense to Joan Rivers making fun of Adele purely for her size and I have to say, I wholeheartedly agree with him. Joan’s style of humour is bitch. Sure, sometimes she calls it as it needs to be called but most of the time she’s just being mean spirited. When Joan herself is clearly insecure about her own looks enough to have had her face pulled so tight by a plastic surgeon that her clitoris is probably just under her chin, you think she’d refrain from being nasty about other people’s looks. I guess not.
Adam had a bit of a rant at Joan on his tv show “The Last Leg” and he ripped right into her.

Not possible to view in UK unfortunately – Channel 4 have had it blocked for copyright infringement.

Well said, Brenton. Well said. Nasty old lady that JR is. She was disgusting and so was Letterman (or whoever he is) for encouraging her by laughing away. I’m over the superficiality that is forced down our throats all the time.
He lost me when he started insulting JR looks. If you are truly offended by someone making jokes about someone’s looks, you don’t turn around and do the same to get laughs.
They are both comedians, both rather vicious.
Love Joan Rivers brilliant comedian
When you pulled a Joan Rivers and made snotty comments about her looks, you left something out. You forgot to mention how nobody is exempt from her sharp tongue… not even herself. She’s ALWAYS been the first to make fun of herself, with the same nasty humor she showers on others.
It’s one thing to say you don’t care for her style of humor, but it’s another to be just as catty, without the professional title of Comedian. People sure do laugh when she makes a joke about somebody they don’t like.
Humor is objective. Not all jokes work for all people. They rarely do. But just because one joke falls flat is no reason to attack.
I’ve always been mixed when it comes to Joan’s humor. This is not a joke to get all worked up over.
Oh yeah… the bit about Joan’s face being pulled so tight… Joan made the same comment/joke about that back in the 80′s.
Where’s the joke here? Adele is a standard size woman who eats a steak, yeah that’s really funny. It wasn’t sharp, witty humour, it was being bitchy for being bitchy’s sake. JR has been funny, now hasbeen is more like it.
