The last few days have been big. Busy and big. I took Friday off work as a holiday so that I could do a photo shoot for my friend’s fashion label, Utility Menswear. I have to say at one stage I thought I was well out of my depth with some technical issues and lighting equipment I wasn’t at all familiar with. Add to all that the fact that the model is the one I posted about a few weeks ago that I have a total crush on, but he is such a sweetheart of a guy. Just lovely. His girlfriend is a lucky girl! Unfortunately we had some serious weather going on here in Sydney on Friday so we couldn’t do the outdoor shots that we had planned. After 9 hours on set, about 12 outfits plus several individual garments, many many laughs and 1245 photographs we finally packed up and got to go home.
Yesterday was another long photography day but so very fulfilling. I posted a while back about Community Brave who are fighting bullying and promoting diversity and acceptance. Yesterday I finally got to contribute and help them but spending the day photographing various gay sporting groups, a transgender group and some supportive straight allies for a calendar and we had such a fun day. The shots won’t be shared for a while and all need to be edited and culled but they are great and hopefully exactly what Community Brave were after.
As well as all that I’ve had to pick up a new fridge and welcome the new flatmate to the apartment which has gone very smoothly and easily. It’s a promising start to a happy house sharing situation. Here we are at Sunday evening and I am hopefully going to sleep like a log tonight and get up refreshed, ready to haul my arse to the gym before going back to work in the morning.

Glad you had a nice time on your shoot. I also really like that pullover.
Christiaan is so lucky to have you as a friend. And the Utility products looks great on the model too. Who knows, maybe another Australian brand is waiting in the wings for a shoot with you.
BTW, how’s your own exhibit coming along?
