Having been stuck in the house for 3 weeks means I’ve caught up on some tv viewing that might have otherwise passed me by for a while. True Blood Season 4 had me enthralled for two days before I finished all the episodes and was left wanting more and hanging out for season 5.

I’ve just watched the first 6 episodes of Spartacus: Vengeance and I have to say I’m impressed. I know fans of the late Andy Whitfield will still feel like no one else could play Spartacus but in my opinion Liam McIntyre has done a fantastic job of making the role his own without trying to be Andy. It’s a tough thing to step into the role played by a very much loved (and lusted after) actor who has passed away but I think it’s been done. The director and producers also seem to have stepped up the cock count in this series and also maintained the honest portrayal of acceptance of gay relationships and open sexuality of the previous series.
