The day has is here.

Today is the day I go into surgery to repair my torn bicep tendons. I am due at the hospital at 2.30 this afternoon. I haven’t asked how long the surgery is but I know I’m only in overnight and it’s keyhole surgery. At least there won’t be any whopping great big scars on my arms. From tomorrow, when I get out of hospital I’ll have to stay with my family for a couple of weeks as for the first week at least while my arms are in plaster I won’t be able to do anything for myself. It also means an enforced break from blogging.

Believe me, as soon as I can get back on a computer, I will, but I have to be careful how much I use my arms and I just don’t know what will hurt and what won’t. I was told I won’t be able to work for 3-4 weeks but I expect I’ll be able to be on a computer a little before that for short periods at a time. Thanks to everyone for your well wishes and fantastic support. I’ll keep you posted on how things go when I can.

Look after yourself, mate. I have had open-heart surgery, so I know all too well how long it takes to mend. You’ve got your family for support, and that is your best-case scenario.

Get well soon Brenton. Take your time mending, so you can get back to 100%. And remember, you can always say you got the scars fighting tigers in the wild. Although, the actual story (tearing your biceps doing aerials) is pretty damn cool as well.

I thought I would look in just to see if you had posted anything. Glad to read that you are recovering quickly. After my last post to you I remembered when a family friend, we were all 14/15 then, fell off the monkey bars at the park and broke both his arms. Every part of his personal hygiene had to tended to by a family member. Thankfully, his 16 year old brother stepped up to the plate as it were; washing him, pulling out his penis when he had to pee…right down to wiping his bum after a poop. As it was his two other brothers who taught me how to masturbate, I don’t know if that courtesy was extended to the younger brother but it was intense “up close and personal” with his brother for several weeks.

Painful though it may be, take time to enjoy your recovery and enjoy the world as is moves at a slower pace.
