There is a new kind of Meme going around with variations of what people with certain lifestyles, careers or hobbies do and the perception of that from outside. Matthew Mitcham, our gold medal winning Olympic Diver posted one about diving that made me laugh. They are usually pretty spot on. Here are a few that apply to me. Click the image to see it larger.

I recall a comment by the great Oscar Levant, who in his second book
“Memoirs of an Amnesiac”, remarked, “Everyone in Hollywood is gay, except Gabby Hayes, and that’s because he’s a transvestite.” You do what you do and, mate, I do what I do. It all comes out in the wash.
Hilarious. The society list can go on and on as we all know. Everything from expecting us only to like Madonna,Gaga and opera to all being fablulous cooks ( ha,ha I used the word fabulous ) and having the best fashion sense of anyone human on the planet. OK some of that is true. ( don’t forget the ability to laugh at ourselves )
I saw the Gay Man one this morning, particularly timely since the former Pennsylvania senator is back in the news with his running for president of the US. Unfortunately for him, he still googles as the term coined by Dan Savage.
