Absolutely brilliant

This afternoon, in one of the laziest days on record, I came across a documentary on Michael Buble and in part of it he’s on stage in Britain somewhere and a mother comes up to the stage and gets his attention and mentions her son (also in the audience) who can sing. Michael plays along and decides why not, let’s get him up on stage.

Now, that’s about where I expected cringe worthy embarrassing footage. Sam is 15 and his mum thinks he can sing really well. Perfect combo for an awkward Idol audition and hilarious television. Not quite how it panned out. Check out how it unfolded. I had tears.

Wedding wrap-up

So, being a tragic romantic and all round sap I was glued to the wedding coverage last night and loved it. Kate looked exactly how I think she should have. There wasn’t any extra drama in the dress just because it was a big occasion, just an elegant stylish beautiful woman.

On to the more important details. The men. Kate’s brother James has been left out of the papers and reports in the lead up so last night he was a bit of a surprise package, which we studied and decided was dressed to the right. Good looking guy. We did make grand assumptions that he’s on our team. Just because.

The man of the moment, William looked great in his dress uniform. He’s a good looking guy, but really needs to do something about the hair. Nothing a good set of clippers wouldn’t fix. His brother Harry of course looked great even if the uniform looked a little big. I’m calling Harry as the life of just about any party, especially that one.

David Beckham was my other favourite. His look was old school Hollywood cool glamour. The hair, the suit, the covering up of all the squillions of tattoos. Hot.

When masculinity and homoeroticism collide

For centuries the Turkish Oil Wrestlers have battled it out in annual events to claim honour in the sport. In recent years “the gays” have realised the perve factor of the sport. The traditionalists and purists hate hearing that it’s a gay sport and it’s not. It’s a long, drawn out battle between pairings of burly men, and the boys that aspire to be like them for dominance and strength, but you can’t deny the gay appeal of the sport. Fetching leather pants, gorgeous masculine men oiled up all over each other. Hell, they even admittedly stick their hand down each other’s pants and grab whatever they can to get a better hold to dominate their opponent.

I don’t think that there’s any doubting these competitions were the inspiration for fetish nude oil wrestling videos where the winner gets to fuck the loser.

Bare as you dare in Melbourne

A little while ago I posted about a naked bike ride through the streets of Melbourne. This video has just turned up on vimeo, a timelapse of the event. Love it.

How do you explain?

Society’s attitudes change and evolve over time, sometimes for the better and sometimes for worse. However liberal society has been at various times, nudists have been in the majority. Sure, decades ago it was normal for a lot of swimming pools in the US to have almost compulsory nudity for men at YMCA’s but I’ve not heard of that happening here.

These days you are much less likely to offend someone by revealing that you like hanging out with your junk out with your mates in the sunshine or at home than you would have in times past but the vast majority of your friends probably aren’t up for joining you.

How do you explain why you like it to a non-nudie? Quite often on nudist networking profiles you’ll see “I enjoy the freedom of being free and being a man with other men.” Sure I get that, but sometimes when read in the context of the rest of the profile, that translates to “I get horny when I see another naked person because it rarely happens but I’m not brave enough to ask for sex outright.”

Yes I would say there is an element of voyeurism and exhibitionism in a fair percentage of nudists and I know that will probably rile the purist nudies right up. It’s largely about being physically comfortable, enjoying the sensations of sun and the breeze in places that we’ve been told it’s not polite to expose. It’s about feeling comfortable with who you are and accepting your flaws. Ultimately if people see your genitals, really does it matter? No. It’s just more skin, just like they’d seen your thumb or shoulder, it just jiggles and bounces around a bit more.

Sure, there are friends that I would feel awkward stripping off with, but having been in that situation before, that awkwardness lasts about 5 minutes tops. Really, if you can’t be nude in front of your mates without judgement, who can you be nude in front of?

Interesting video

By not being able to understand the dialogue in a video it completely changes the meaning of the piece. I’m guessing from the title, which translates to “Anatomy of Failure” that the dialogue is quite dark, that’s just a guess, yet the video to me was a fun video of fairly liberated people sharing a shower cubicle with one or two other people, sometimes of the same sex, sometimes of the opposite sex.

I like that they are all very “real” bodies. There are a couple of muscle guys in the far right shower later in the video but by and large all the people in this video are just regular people of a variety of shapes and sizes.

Is advertising getting sexier?

Now I guess when you are advertising jewellery you need to focus on the product you are selling and not distract the viewer with clothing from other brands etc. These images from 10percent have kinda taken that thought as far as it can go with the models completely nude. Now this isn’t a new technique in advertising, after all “sex sells”.

My question is how far will this go? To get the viewing audiences attention, will we need to start photographing watches on the wrist of someone whose hand is disappearing up a perky butt? Will some beads need to be wrapped around someone’s cock like a cock ring?

Don’t get me wrong. These guys are hot and they got my attention. Just curious.

Joey wants to be a porn star

Joey here is 22 years old and is from Essex in the UK. He’s got beautiful skin, a good look, no inhibitions and some tattoos that I don’t really care for.

Joey is the subject of a guest photographer, Gabriel Jackson on The Male Form, where you can see all of Joey in his naked aroused glory. He wants to get into porn.

I’m off for a few days

It’s time for the family Easter holiday. Once again we are off up to the Central Coast so it’s several days of doing not much for me. I’ll post again on Tuesday. Have a good Easter!

Naked Power Yoga

A few weeks ago my copy of “Naked Power Yoga” arrived in the mail and I’ve watched it a few times, although I have to guiltily admit that I’m yet to actually do any yoga along with it.

Filmed, directed and edited by my blog friend Peter T Breen and starring Ryan Clifford, the DVD is a study in edgy beautiful film-making. It’s not like any conventional yoga DVD in that there isn’t a word of instruction or dialogue, just beautiful footage of Ryan doing yoga, nude in the beautiful Ile Du Levant which is now on my list of places to holiday.

If you order it with the expectation of learning yoga you will be disappointed, but to me it’s a stunning erotic arthouse tribute to yoga.

Steep learning curve

The last few days have seen me wandering around sulking because I haven’t been able to see my man. We are only a few months into the relationship and I’m still learning the rules, not that any rules have been spoken off or demanded, apart from honesty and openness.

I’m trying my best to not be a needy boyfriend and I don’t think I am being needy. I make no demands on his time and we are both busy people. I’m the first person to admit that I haven’t been the best in previous dating situations but this one doesn’t make me feel neurotic and weird. For the most part.

I think the last few days have made me realise that, naturally, feelings are growing which I really like but I’ve never been in a healthy happy relationship before and you do start to get nervous, hoping and wanting it all to be happening for the other person as well but getting anxious that maybe it’s not. There’s no rational reason for me to worry, but that’s what I do. I do get to see my man tomorrow night which will be lovely.

And NO, this video isn’t me making a grand public statement. When the L-bomb is dropped it will be in private and between he and I.

Coining a new term

Why is it that we are so bold with our opinions, especially negative ones when we are safely behind the screen of our computer? I’ve noticed on facebook  that people, regardless that they are posting with their identity visible, are very willing to post nasty comments and make fun of people when I very much doubt they’d have the same courage face to face.

It’s come up many times on this blog over the years when I’ve had some very vicious comments posted and even a comment from a reader last night dissecting why he thought the Playgirl model was “ugly”. Not just not to his taste, but ugly. I don’t expect people to agree with everything I say on this blog and I did email that commenter asking if they’d be comfortable being dissected in the same way, with ratings for individual body parts.

Most hate mail has been posted anonymously with no option for me to respond directly. I guess it’s human nature to feel safe behind the mask of anonymity. So I’m coining a new term – “anonimosity” which means to express your animosity and hate with the protection of being anonymous. Personally I think we should suck it up and stand by our opinions more often. I can honestly say that I have never posted any negative comments anonymously. If I can’t put my name to it, then maybe it’s best left unsaid.

Shooting Jono once again

This is the fourth time I’ve photographed Jonathon. We shoot after he competes at the latest bodybuilding competition. It’s amazing to watch the transformation each time we collaborate and also in the lead up to each competition. From his bulking up phase to being so ripped for competition Jonathon loses about 30kg (66lbs) and these photos were already a bit heavier than the weight he’d been at competition.

Playgirl’s edgy model

Tim Boyce isn’t your old fashioned cookie-cutter Playgirl model. Sure, he’s hot, got a good body and a big dick but he doesn’t fit that cliched centrefold look. Personally I like it. The few Playgirl model’s I’ve seen in the last couple of years have been very hot and fairly diverse in their image. Bless all those beautiful men with big cocks willing to get them out for our the straight girl’s pleasure.

Easter SALE from AussieBum!

Next weekend is the Easter long weekend and unlike Jesus, your undies won’t resurrect themselves from the dead, so why not get yourself some new aussieBum gear and check out their Easter Sales. Your mother probably told you to keep yourself in clean undies after all.
