I came across something via Towleroad last week and I thought it was a brilliant idea. I don’t know how effective it would actually be, but it would certainly raise awareness. Recently a guy called Ben had an idea that gay couples should take out an engagement notice in their local papers announcing their engagement and plans to marry “as soon as it’s legal”. It appears that some have taken up the challenge. Wonder if it would take off here?

Definatley. Such a good idea but i dont think many people would read it.
That is the Massachusetts State Capital building in the last frame, where gay marriage was legalized in ’04 – largely thanks to the fact that it did not go to public vote like in California.
I’d like to find a bf before I think about marriage.
The photo to the right is at the Massachusetts State House back in 2004 when gay marriage was being voted on by our State Legislature. Massachusetts saw the light and legalized same sex marriage and so will other places; progress will continue here in the US, in Australia and elsewhere.
