Man, this guy is HOT. Killer bod, great smile and beautiful face. Christian Ragin is a young model about to hopefully be seen everywhere. Don’t have any other details on him, but he’s hot! Thanks to Ohlala for most of the images.

Summer seems to have only made fleeting appearances this year in Sydney and this Easter long weekend is looking quite bleak. The weekend after, a friend and I are planning on going nude camping at River Island Retreat a couple of hours from Sydney. I’ve looked at longer range forcasts and they don’t seem to predict rain but I wouldn’t mind a bit of warmth too. Fingers crossed.
When Gregory and Jonathan entered Crate and Barrel’s ultimate wedding competition they were just after a bit of help towards achieving their perfect wedding, which for them consists of friends, family and fun. The competition is voted by the public (go and vote to show support) through the website for the competition. The guys are not the only same sex couple in the running and the competition was always open to everyone, gay couples included.
Their popularity with voters has obviously ruffled some feathers among straight people who either don’t approve or feel that they perhaps are being done out of their ultimate wedding. The couple have been subjected to horrible remarks on the site but refuse to step down from the competition. Read the full article here.
Born in 1979, Will Young shot to UK Stardom in 2002 when he won the first ever Pop Idol, soon to be licensed around the world in a money making, star factory TV franchise. Will showed his smarts and eloquence when he told Simon Cowell exactly what he should do with his nasty attitude and unnecessary jibes at contestants, showing just how to use a political science degree.
Will has also been openly gay since his first single broke all sales records in the U.K. even outselling the Princess Diana tribute version of Candles in the Wind. To my knowledge Will has never been embroiled in any tabloid scandal, which for someone in the public eye in the U.K. is no mean feat. Proof indeed that you can have a successful career after coming out.
Combining some of my favourite things, a hot man, shameless pop music and Kylie Minogue.
While it won’t come as a surprise to basically anyone, I think Ricky Martin should be applauded for finally coming out. Why? Because he did. His sexuality has been the subject of gossip and speculation for years, and while it may have been bigger news if he’d come out at the peak of his success everyone needs to come out in their own time, if at all.

There is an argument that no one should ever have to publicly declare their sexuality, whether in the public eye or not. Private life does, after all, mean private. The other argument is that every high profile person that does reveal that they are homosexual gives someone struggling with their sexuality someone to look up to. We’ve all gone through that struggle at some point, thinking we are the only gay person, that everyone can tell as you walk down the street.
While Ricky may not be at the top of the charts any more and therefore doesn’t stand to lose endorsements or record deals through discrimination, he is still someone that a gay teenager might look at and identify with. I also think it’s very admirable that he has handled his coming out with class. There is no fanfare, no magazine deal, just an open, honest letter on his website. “Allowing myself to be seduced by fear and insecurity became a self-fulfilling prophecy of sabotage. Today I take full responsibility for my decisions and my actions.” Congratulations Ricky.
7am isn’t the ideal time to get up on a Sunday morning but that’s what I did yesterday so that I could go and photograph Lucas here. He’s an Aussie boy who has just got back from several years of living and working over in London and around Europe. He has one of the most ripped bodies I’ve seen in a long time and was a pleasure to shoot.
Tonight was the last class of term for silks and as our regular teacher has been away unexpectedly, we’ve had a few different teachers over the last few weeks. Tonight was yet another new teacher. I’d been out last night for dinner with a couple of people from the aerial school and one of the girls said “you are so going to fall in love with your teacher.” Lo and behold, I think I already have a crush.
This guy is a bag of contradictions all wrapped up in a package that I find incredibly hot. He’s a typical country boy, rugby player solid build, hairy strong legs with a strong masculine face including soft full lips, sparkly eyes above a square superhero jawline. Yet he’s done theatre since school. He’s a straight man in the aerialist world which has a disproportionately high percentage of gay people, looks like a rugby player and yet is passionate about being expressive and finding new ways to perform a move or get an emotion across.
Sadly, as I said, he’s straight, and even if he wasn’t, he’s only about 24. I feel old and dirty but inspired.
A very talented friend of mine is preparing for a group exhibition called “Ludites Love Water“, an exhibition that he shot yours truly for. Steven is the man that shot me for another ongoing series that he is working on that I posted about some time ago. The collective that he is exhibiting with uses the uber cool lomography kind of photography, ie plastic cameras. The image above is from the upcoming water based exhibition.
In a really exciting development, Steven decided that he was so happy with one of the images of me that he’s entered it in one of Australia’s biggest photography portrait prizes, the Head On Portrait Prize. Only 40 portraits were chosen to be part of the exhibition out of an alleged 300+ entries so I’m quite chuffed.
With my dad’s heart attack, work not exactly thrilling me for a long time, the recent strangeness and tension with my flatmate and my grandfather also in a bit of a decline I really feel like taking off to a warm tropical island somewhere, taking off my clothes and relaxing intensely for a while. When I get back (in this fantasy land) all the stress, tension and bad stuff will be gone. In it’s place will be health and happiness.
Dusty and Garet have such a positive vibe about them and clearly adore the hell out of each other. This is the spin I’m trying to put on everything. It all happens for a reason. It feels at times lately, like I’ve forgotten my own promise to “mine the clouds” this year. Next weekend I’m away with family and very dear friends and the weekend after that I’m going nude camping. Bring it on I say.

I have to admit, the project 365 did get away from me a little bit. I’ve been taking photos but very slack on posting them to facebook. I’m in the process of catching up and posted the remainder of February today and the first chunk of March’s photos.
A friend and I are running with themes for the months. February’s theme was texture.

Last night, one of those phone calls came through that you just don’t want. My mother called to tell me my father was in hospital after what was apparently a very minor heart attack. He’s in really good spirits and is happy to know why he’s been short of breath etc lately.
A friend I went to school with rang me a couple of hours ago. She’s a nurse and has been looking after my dad. According to her, my dad is in a bit of denial. It’s quite a serious coronary event and he’s got more testing to be done.
I’m a little scared. My dad is only in his early 60′s but he and mum aren’t the most disciplined with their diet which is probably where I get it from, and they polish off a bottle of white wine with dinner every night. At least Dad does do a fair bit of bike riding when he’s feeling well. I’m not ready to lose him. He and I have a relationship that is possibly fairly common with fathers and gay sons. We are quite different people but with some overlapping interests and I think quite a bit of mutual respect. It’s my dad that sparked my interest in photography. Some of my earliest memories are of my father swimming out way beyond the surf break at the beach when I was about 7, taking me or my sister with him. The surf could be quite big, but I’ve never felt so safe.
It’s testimony to their popularity and knack for getting things right that aussieBum have had to release their new Pablo range due to popular demand when it was released earlier only through wholesale channels. This Pablo range features the ever popular Wonderjock technology and features a distinctive brightly coloured waistband and trim. Sadly it doesn’t feature Andreas other than in these photos. Oh well, can’t have it all I guess.
Born in Buenos Aires, the Tango is a dance full of fire and passion, oozing sex and bravado. Three2Tango is a new production choreographed by and starring William Centurion. Will was a contestant on this year’s season of So You Think You Can Dance Australia.
Will has had training all over the world in dance and performance and is a passionate performer with a sexy body honed through hours and hours of dancing. His show Three2Tango is about to be staged again at Slide Bar. According to the website Three2Tango has “reinvented the Argentine tango, using sex, seduction and passionate rhythms to make their mark on this traditional dance form as we know it, maintaining the passion whilst breaking the rules!”
Last night was the wrap party for the mardi gras float and the launch of our DVD. Chadd has done a great job once again putting all his footage into the DVD and making sure we all look like we are having a ball. We were so it might not be that difficult.
I designed the cover again this year, but then had to design another one as the committee thought the first one looked too much like a porno. Maybe I’ve been desensitised after years of being single and masturbating to porn but the porn I buy is much more racy than the cover I designed (left). Oh well, people liked to have the option.
