Skinnydipping and police raids

Last night I met a couple of other guys from the Skinnydipping Sydney facebook group and went for a skinnydip in Sydney Harbour. It was a beautiful warm night with just barely a breeze, perfect for stripping off and cooling off. Once again, a straight couple had the same idea. I’m hoping for the next dip we get more than just a handful of people along.

In sad news for Sydney nudists, my favourite nude beach was raided by police and rangers yesterday. It’s not an official nude beach but it’s been tolerated and accepted for many many years. Sadly a couple of years ago a local woman complained about it because she happened upon some people taking advantage of the privacy of the bushes, while she was taking her children for a walk on one of the tracks. Now, I agree that the guys cruising weren’t doing it very smartly or considerately. I’d even agree that some people on the beach are inappropriate. I’ve seen guys waving their hardons at each other on the beach with others all around.

Nude beaches frequently have cruising areas nearby but sadly this one may well cost us our nude haven at Little Congwong beach. Read an article on the events, here.

It’s sad when the tolerated nude beaches end up under a raid. There is one of those in Southern California that has now been under the close watch of police and rangers. No more nudity tolerated. I feel like we’re headed back to the dark ages.

Lewis, I live in Southern California, and I’m just curious to which beach you are referring to?

Skinnydipping is the only way to swim. I started skinnydipping as a kid and have continued skinnydipping my whole life. I have come to the place in life if I have to wear a suit to swim, I don’t swim. Skinnydipping is the most comfortable and natural way to swim so no suits for me, except my birthday suit.
