On saturday I was assisting a friend of mine who is a professional photographer on a shoot in a stunning house in Surry Hills, Sydney. Before the model turned up he was using me to test the lighting etc. So as a result I have a few new photos. What have I learnt from this? That I’m my own worst critic and I should never shave my head again.
I shaved it for another photoshoot by the guy that shot the black and white shots of me and he is working on a series and wants all the guys to have cropped hair.
So back to Saturday’s photos. I actually think my body looks better when I’m goofing around in the background being a dickhead (shot on the left) than it does when I’m TRYING to look good, see example on the right. Oh well. I’ll just try and bloody relax in photos from now on then.
Agreed. No more head shaving. Thats a look only the FBI could love, lol. :)

Plus you look good in either shot but you DO need someone to train you in PLACING your body a little bit – its not posing you need – its placing.
But lookin good either way mate……….

I have never understood the shaved head bit….almost no one looks good that way IMHO. Maybe it’s because, in my day, we were trying to get away with our hair as long as possible. I just can’t imagine shaving it on purpose…the thought is still scary to me.
There are certainly a variety of tastes however, so each to his own.
Why is it the “Vanity” post that I’ve just discovered that you don’t love me enough to have added me to your blogroll. Ahem.
And, I must say, I like many vain people. Lots of them.

I agree that the goofing off photo is better, but I also blame the lighting! The second one looks like you’re under florescent lights. Natural lighting is best. It also has that “told how to pose” look. Do you really stand like that? no!
I agree, you just need a little help in the posing/placing department. I’ve done some modeling and for me it wasn’t natural.
Also, your body is fine. My guess is that you could achieve a 30% increase in overall look by adjusting your diet. I’m not trying to be harsh. You have nothing to complain about.

You are a bit hard on yourself Brenton. You look hot and amazing with head shaved or not. I don’t think bald guys get less respect. People who don’t get respect is usually cause they don’t have respect for themselves.
Loving the project365. Pity about the arse pic getting taken down by facebook :( I was looking forward to seeing some cute arse too haha. Its an interest concept, and I’m going to be sure to check it as much as I can.
