This happened just recently on Bondi Beach. It’s one of the first flash mob videos I’ve seen come out of Australia. I know there have been others, but I haven’t come across them. It looks like so much fun!

Hudson Wright has been taking some absolutely cracking shots lately and who can blame him with inspiration like Joseph Sayers? These shots were taken in a dry lake bed at the base of a volcano in the Mojave desert. Hot, totally hot. Joseph was kind enough to accept a friend request from me on modelmayhem just today and I sent him a message saying that I liked his work.

It’s really hard to pass on compliments like that to someone whose sexuality you don’t know, as a gay man who is older than he is without coming across as creepy or some crazed stalker. He’s one of the most stunning men I’ve ever come across.

Last night at silks class was stinking hot with Sydney having one of it’s typically erratic weather days of 30+ degrees, which has plummeted to 23 or so today. I would never have dreamt  that the weather could play a significant role in circus arts before starting these classes nearly two and a half years ago but the hot weather last night was greatt because it meant we didn’t slide on the fabric much at all.

We were at the midway point of term last night and it’s time to start working on our routines. Most of the time we aim for a new routine or if you are working on something to go to the public with, refine that. I’ve been wanting to do a routine to Gotye’s “Heart’s a mess” for a while now and am finally having a go at it. The video above is only four and a half minutes but the version on the album is six minutes which is a fairly long routine but I’m looking forward to seeing if I can do it.

At the end of the class last night I did have a bit of a minor fall. Nothing was hurt or broken and it was more of an unplanned slip, drop and unwrap kinda trick gone wrong situation but I was only a couple of metres up rather than the 7 or so that I may have been for some other tricks.

For a long time now, I’ve thought that by and large, full frontal nudity in photography is distracting. Sure, in porn, erotic and voyeuristic photography it’s what it’s all about but in art photography, cock just gets in the way of most people’s appreciation of an otherwise beautiful photograph. Our eyes immediately zoom in on the crotch of the model and judge him mercilessly on the size of his appendage.

There’s no denying I love looking at photos of cock, but even in some erotic photography, I prefer some mystery and tease. It’s much more exciting wondering if you are going to find out what a guy is hiding rather than having it all laid out like a buffet.

Having said all this, I came across this guy on modelmayhem. He goes by J Gregory and quite frankly if I had an appendage like that I’d be getting it out too. He says it’s 9 inches long but I’m sorry to say guys, he’s a straight boy and living proof that straight boys are doing some grooming these days!

Jean Carlos here is a Brazilian native. These shots are by the very busy Tony Duran. Tony always does sexy work, but damn, did he even need to look through the camera for these? Jean Carlos is so damned hot you could just wave the camera in his general direction and he’d look fabulous.

My flat mate and I are finally getting around to having our official (non nude) housewarming today. We’ve got all the beer chilling, salads are being made, bbq is ready and the sun is SHINING! It’s going to be a great day for a rooftop party.

Yesterday I picked up a parcel from the post office. It was my Bruce Weber DVD Box Set. A few weeks ago I found out that Bruce was finally releasing his movies on DVD so a few days later I jumped online and ordered the box set. I’ve watched one of the documentaries and a few of the music videos. He collaborated with the Pet Shop Boys a few times and one of my earliest gay memories was of this music video “Se a vida e”.

It was a perfect product of its time. Yes it’s dated a little but the boys Bruce chooses for his work are timeless beauties, even if they aren’t “classic” beauties. Sigh. To anyone that has been photographed or filmed by Mr Weber, savour the memories and the experience.

A couple of days ago I had a comment on the blog saying I should call the blog Anglolicious because “ALL” the guys I post are of anglo origins and between 25 and 30. Without saying as much, the commenter implied racism and agism. While I would have to agree that looking at the blog most of the guys on here probably are of Anglo origins of that rough age group, does that mean I’m racist? Not at all. I would be lying if I said that I find all races equally sexually appealing I certainly don’t value any races or age groups more or less than others.

Growing up in Wollongong, a small town South of Sydney, I was largely surrounded by white people. Wollongong has large pockets of Mediterranean groups, Italians, Greeks, Croatians as well as Lebanese, Serbians and others. It doesn’t have many black people at all and I wouldn’t say it has the Asian population of Sydney, which has a lot of different Asian cultures. So I would reason that my sexual awakenings, and formative years were spent around Anglos. As for the age bracket, have a look around all the blogs. Guys in their 20′s and 30′s are the ones being photographed the most, because they are in their prime and they are just damned hot.

From now on, I’ll make a concerted effort to display a more enthnically and age diverse range of eye candy for you all. They guys above are all photographed by the very talented and uninhibited Mikel Marton.

As someone who has been interested in photography for many years, and whether I was willing to admit it or not, in hot men for just as many, there was no way I couldn’t notice the name David Vance. David has been at the top of his game for a number of years and has recently been published in the pages of magazines like DNA. The number of stunning men that have graced his studios and locations is totally astonishing.

So when an email popped into my inbox from a U.S. model friend of mine saying he’d done a shoot with David Vance, I was so thrilled for the opportunity for him. Then I opened the images attached. I knew my friend, also David, was gorgeous and incredibly photogenic but he looks even MORE stunning in these shots. There’s not an ounce of fat on him and David Vance has captured his brooding sensuality. Yum!

Deep in the South of France is a beautiful exclusively gay Bed and Breakfast called The Lotus Tree. The owners of The Lotus Tree will happily serve you bed and breakfast or you can provide your own meals in a self catered studio. For the majority of the year Lotus Tree is clothing optional and most guests do choose the nude option. In May (14 – 18) next year they are hosting a naked yoga retreat on the premises and July 3 – 10 is a compulsory 100% nude week.

If I’m heading to the south of France, I think I’ll definitely be seeking out the Lotus Tree to relax and enjoy some naked rest and sunshine.

This year’s Australian Idol is down to three teenagers, and quite frankly Stan Walker had better win or something has gone horrendously wrong.

It’s time once more to head on over to Teamm8 and vote for your every day champ. I have to argue a point that not a single one of these guys is “everyday” to me. The ones all pictured here anyway have beautiful bodies! I’m voting for Sandor or Robin, I haven’t decided yet.

To round off the four guys I shot last weekend, Jonathon was the reason any of the shoots happened at all. He was preparing for the Australian Bodybuilding Championships when we discussed recording his achievement just after the competition. As it turns out he went on to win Mr NSW. I took more photos of Jonathon than I did of the other 3 guys and that’s why I’ve put of sorting them out. There were 200 shots to go through.

He’s in incredible shape and is something like 19kg heavier than when I shot him last time. Congratulations Jonathon!

The third guy I shot last sunday was Timothy. I’d chatted to him on modelmayhem but wasn’t quite prepared for his height or striking look when he showed up last weekend. He’s 6’3″ so he’s got a few inches on me and has a really strong look as you can see. The four guys I shot last week are all very different but all hot in their own way. Tim should go well in modelling if he works hard and stays focussed. As a photographer, I didn’t have to do much directing at all, Tim just hit pose after pose after pose.
