For a long time now, I’ve thought that by and large, full frontal nudity in photography is distracting. Sure, in porn, erotic and voyeuristic photography it’s what it’s all about but in art photography, cock just gets in the way of most people’s appreciation of an otherwise beautiful photograph. Our eyes immediately zoom in on the crotch of the model and judge him mercilessly on the size of his appendage.
There’s no denying I love looking at photos of cock, but even in some erotic photography, I prefer some mystery and tease. It’s much more exciting wondering if you are going to find out what a guy is hiding rather than having it all laid out like a buffet.
Having said all this, I came across this guy on modelmayhem. He goes by J Gregory and quite frankly if I had an appendage like that I’d be getting it out too. He says it’s 9 inches long but I’m sorry to say guys, he’s a straight boy and living proof that straight boys are doing some grooming these days!

hm, i can’t agree with you on that - do you think Michelangelo’s David would look better with hidden pisello hidden? And practically all ancient greek statues of athletes and myth heroes depict modestly endowed men, and yet they’ve a canon in nude male art and inspiration for homoeroticism for centuries. Mystery can add something to the photo, but why should it be necessarily a mystery about the dick? By hiding it you only draw attention to it, making you wonder if it looks as good as the rest. But isn’t there anything else to think of? If the dick looks harmoniously with the rest of the body, I think the artwork shouldn’t hide it. I think it makes more sense to make the intrigue from the behavior/pose/circumstances of the photo and not just hiding the dick
I very much agree with kirill. I find that hiding the cock in many cases just creates annoyance about the fact that its hidden. Having it visible satisfies the urge to see it (which I’ll admit is a paticularly strong urge in my case), and that lack of frustration usually makes it easier to take in the rest of the picture.
As for the line about judging the model mercilessly on the size of his appendage - don’t assume that you’re speaking for everyone when you say that “our eyes” do that.
If I remember correctly a marble figleaf was placed on M.”s David for a while to avoid offense. Sheesh!
J.Gregory has the symbol for Libra tattooed on his pec.
More like straight up my ass. I love the lighting in these photos. I like the Chinese “treasure trail” tattoo. It’s interesting how his cock is “restrained” in some of those photos. Like it’s a beast at rest.
I agree with Crik. I’m one gay man who just really doesn’t care all that much about the particulars of someone’s penis.
Call me crazy but a dick just ain’t all that distracting for me.
Uh huh. I found this young man’s dick quite distracting. Might have had something to do with it’s size. (Ya think???)
Whereas in Classical statues, the male anatomy is typically far less generous in proportion and thus less distracting. I’m just sayin’.
This ’straight’ boy is one of the most beautiful men that I have ever seen cock and all!
