So, today is my birthday. I’m awake and not surprisingly don’t feel any different to how I felt yesterday. I had a wonderful night’s sleep and have woken up happy. My flatmate has gone to work so I’m typing this nude before I get ready for work and head off to another day in the office. They buy a cake for us on our birthday and when it comes to cake, I’m a man of fairly simple tastes. You just can’t beat a chocolate cake.
Tonight I’ll be going for a simple dinner with friends somewhere. At 36, birthdays just don’t quite have the excitement that they did at 6, and I guess that’s ok. I’m hoping 36 brings some exciting challenges and new adventures, possibly some romance?
