It’s all happening!!

Today we finally signed the lease on our new apartment and paid the bond and first month’s rent. I’d forgotten just how stressful the house hunting/moving situation can be. Thankfully we’ve got a great place to live. Like one reader pointed out, it is dangerous to move in with a friend. I’ve made that mistake in the past and nearly killed good friendships. So from now on I’m only living with relative strangers and I’ll learn their bad living habits as part of who they are.

I personally think A and I will end up good mates. We seem to have a laugh and an easy way of getting on so far. Fingers crossed it remains. Now… do we close the blinds when we are walking around nude or just let the neighbours watch?

Let the neighbours watch – unless you’re having a tug – then close the blinds – SOME things need to be private.

would you be comfortable to both tug together in the same room if the situation arose (no pun intended!).

I suggest let the neighbours watch. And let us know the address so we can conveniently walk/(fly?) past at the right moment.

I agree with Matty. Give me a good day and a half notice since I’d have to fly across the waters to see it though. :)

I think that it’s beginning to be a bit much to keep calling him A. Since I read your blog every day, I am supposing that I will be getting to know him as a person along with you and referring to him as something that looks a bit like an unknown in a math equation is .. well.. ya know? Soo, since he’s already A, why not change that just a little bit and call him Abe? Or some other name that isn’t his real one.

LET THE NEIGHBORS WATCH…unless you’ll get into some sort of legal trouble. Too bad I’m not your neighbor.

I agree….Let them watch! See how long it takes to get some complaints…if ever!

    Hell, invite the neighbors over!!!

Well if you do leave the blinds open it could become a very Davey Wavey like experience…you remember the way he spent time perving on his neighbour.

I would invite them over,,if they are hot! If not ,,I would close the blinds! You are so lucky to have found someone to live with that enjoys hanging free! Hope it goes well!

I would suggest closing the blinds. I love being naked but unless others have consented to seeing you naked, then basic courtesy requires you to defer to their implied modesty. If the neighbors don’t want to see you and your roommate naked, and it is possible that they don’t, then what is mutual nudity with your roommate becomes forced exhibitionism on the neighbors.

I happily disrobe at nude beaches and clothing-optional campgrounds, but would never strip in a place where those present had no interest in public nudity.

Of course this all depends on the windows. I currently live in an apartment whose windows open up onto someone else’s backyard, so I pull the blinds when I wander about naked. A previous apartment was on the 10th floor with no buildings of comparable height nearby. Neighbors would have had to use binoculars to see me clearly, so I did not pull the blinds in that instance. Not even when I had “company” over.
