That scenario reminds me of a good (straight) friend who would tell me that nearly every time he went into a restaurant to eat, a staff person would come near his table at some point to sweep or clean something off the floor. He thought he was cursed, particularly since that activity annoyed him greatly. It happened to him so often that we would joke about it when we went out together. I then suggested that he change his mindset such that it didn’t bother him and to “reprogram” the scenario to reduce the number of incidences. At the time, 1975, we had both just taken a Silva Mind Control course, which taught us how to do such “reprogramming”. After doing that, he was no longer bothered by the sweeping and it also didn’t happen as often.

Perhaps you can try reprogramming your mindset in a similar manner at least to keep the potential mates available long enough for you to become well acquainted.

Just start putting yourself in more situations where you can get to meet people to just be friends.
It’s when you don’t push for things to happen in a certain way, that you start to find many other ways that things can happen.

Oh my God, you have NO IDEA. I am THE FUCKING MASTER of hooking up guys I like. It’s like an innate talent that I was born with.

Right now, I’m wracking my brain trying to figure out what exactly it is that I’m doing and how I’m doing it, so that I can stop this vicious cycle.. b/c I’m at the point where it’s honestly getting a little bit difficult to live if nothing changes. Chin up, Brenton. Meeting people is hard to do (some would say exhausting), and even harder to keep them once found – it’s why many of us are single and trying.

The more you get discouraged, the less successful you will be. Someone said once ‘the harder I try the luckier I get’. Keep on trying and who knows what will happen.
