Beeping mental

There’s something beeping in my room… I can’t find the source and it’s a little unnerving. Every few minutes there’s a quick double beep of something electronic, and it’s got me baffled. I haven’t introduced anything new into the room. So far my only thoughts are the sensor thing in the corner of the ceiling, or in a grand conspiracy theory kinda way, maybe aliens have snuck in and are watching and communicating.

Do you have a smoke detector in your room? Ours start to beep when the batteries are running out of juice.

    Yep…smoke detector…must be.

I hate smoke detectors. Sure they’ll save your life, but the battery only seems to run out at 2am. I don’t think I’ve ever had the beeping start in the middle of the day.

    Is it… a bee??

It’s the smoke detector low battery signal. Mine would do that, but only around 1 to 2 am in the morning (like Ben says). I would replace one’s battery and within days another would go off. After number 3, I just replace the batteries in all.

Could also be the internal clock battery in your computer!!!!!

Do you have an air conditioner? Sometimes mine beeps (or buzzes) when it is not running. I think it has something to do with the pressure in the lines and it is resetting itself. (at least I hope that’s what it is!!)
