I’ve spoken here before about my desires to go camping, out in the bush, relaxing in the wild, just like the ScenicBoys Dusty and Garet do. Well, this weekend I’m going camping, but I’m hardly going to be in the wild. For Christmas my mother gave my father, myself, my brother-in-law and my nephew a night’s camping on Cockatoo Island on Sydney Harbour. It’s going to be great fun. Camping? Yes. Roughing it? No… The tents are permanent, there is a cafe and I dare say we’ll be having some wine while we watch the sunset.
You’ve clearly reminded me that we need to get our own arses in gear and go camping this summer….we have all of the gear from tent to sleeping bags to cookware. Happy times!
It still sounds like a lot of fun, even though it wont be with your mates. Have a great time, and take some pics of that sunset.
