If you were asked to name some jobs that are, or could be done nude, the list is pretty darned short, but given the added security at airports these days, I guess mr airstrip guy here might have merely been proving that he wasn’t concealing any weapons, although that sock does look pretty long.
Given the US military’s track record, I’ll bet this guy was dishonourably discharged once the photos came out!
But then again they’d probably have had to do a line-up to identify him!
