Aussielicious

I’m one of those people that can’t really do aggressive or intimidating very well, so last night’s gig was quite a challenge but a lot of fun. It was a staff christmas party with a Punk theme. They really went all out with decorations and entertainment. They had a punk band, for which the lead singer for some reason decided to perform in his underwear, they had a drag queen with attitude (don’t they all), a couple of performance artists and some people piercing their flesh which I flatly refused to watch. I get very squeamish with that stuff.

Lil and I were hired to be statues. So I cracked out my kilt, the boots, some dodgy as all hell eye makeup and my brand spanking mohawk. I was positioned on the landing halfway to the ladies toilets which caused a few surprised looks having a supposedly scary man in a kilt and fuck-off boots standing in dramatic lights when they were on their way to pee. A few of them made me crack my facade, but overall it was great.

As I posted before, on Friday night I’m shooting a guy nude at one of Sydney’s ocean pools, which I’m really looking forward to. This summer I’ve been trying to find the right combination of free time, good weather and practicality to go for a nude swim one night but the planets haven’t aligned with my moon and it’s not happened. So after the shoot on Friday night, I’ll definitely be stripping off and having a skinny dip. I don’t know if I’ll get away with videoing this shoot, but I’ll check with the model and get back to you.

With the weather that is… Today I spent a lovely few hours nude on the beach in beautiful weather with the new flatmate and a couple of friends. It’s a few weeks into Autumn officially and it was in the high 20′s (celsius) here today. It was absolutely beautiful. I don’t know how much longer it can go on, but I’m hoping we get some good weather in Byron Bay in a month’s time.

Tonight I’m off to “perform” as a statue at a corporate function. We will be dressed as punks and all we have to do is stand there perfectly still for 3 x 20 minute sessions. I don’t know if I can stand still for that long but it will be fun. I’ll try and get some photos. I picked up my mohawk headpiece yesterday and it freaking rocks.

This was sent to me on Friday but I totally forgot to post it as I had to race in my door, get changed and go out again. Then yesterday was a little foggy as I woke up a tiny bit hung over. So, here is the second episode of the Moreton Bay Island photoshoot from aussieBum!

Today I finally got around to editing the footage of the other 3 guys having their shots done at last week’s shoot, along with the group shots at the end. Sadly these guys didn’t pose naked, or I would have given strict instructions on underwear. It’s a fairly long episode this one. I’m going to have to learn to be more brutal with the editing.

The wonderful Chadd that does our photography and video for our float has put together this teaser for the upcoming DVD that we produce every year for participants. It’s looking good I have to say!

Now that I’ve got one episode of Aussielicious TV under my belt and more planned I’ve been thinking. Aussielicious TV needs music to go with the imagery that I’m going to be putting together and the idea came to me that there are loads of very talented people out there hoping for any bit of exposure. This blog doesn’t reach millions of people but it does get to a few thousand people per day. So, if you are a singer/musician/band and you’ve got some original material that you’d be willing to share with me to use on Aussilicious TV then email it to me and I’ll try and use it in a future episode of Aussielicious TV.

When these shots arrived in my email today from aussieBum I nearly whipped out my… credit card and started spending a fortune. Thankfully I showed some restraint. They are releasing a load of new colours and styles in time for all you northern hemisphere folks to get your orders in before you hit the beach for another summer.

These images were all taken on their recent shooting trip to Morton Island and it’s so good to see the delicious Tim Robbards back in aussieBum. He’s the one with longer hair. Totally pops my cookies. I’m on a bit of a health kick. I may never get to this stage but I can do my best and if I end up feeling healthy and fit then it’s all good right?

Someone has emailed me through this blog offering to model for me which I love. He seems pretty keen and also fairly open to ideas which is fantastic, but also a challenge. I haven’t done as much photography as I should, partly because it can be hard to find people willing and also partly because I have struggled to come up with ideas that I actually have the resources to do.

I’ve done many shoots now of nude guys on rocks etc and I’m keen to try some new stuff. I’ve pitched one or two ideas for this guy and he’s keen for one of them and slightly less keen for the other. We’ll see what I can come up with. I’ve discovered that cliches exist for a reason, because they usually work, but that’s too easy.

This video would have to be one of the best I’ve seen of Mardi Gras. This guy does amazing work, I think through time lapse filming or stitching photos together to make a video. He treats them in such a way that everything looks like a tiny little world populated, in this case, with thousands of little gay people. It’s beautiful to watch.

Tonight is a bit of a late one for me. Usually on a “school” night I’m tucked up in bed by about 10.30 at the latest so I can go to the gym early in the morning, but tomorrow I’m skipping the gym because of my hamstring (leg workout day). I also happen to be going to the movies with a new friend.

I chatted to this guy a couple of years ago online but haven’t heard from him as he ended up in a relationship. That relationship turned out to be abusive so he’s left that asshole boyfriend and through a couple of twists of fate is now living in some friends’ spare room. We met up a couple of weeks ago and decided to catch up. We are off to have a bite to eat and then go and see Milk.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I’ve seen the video footage that went with these photos and would hazard a guess that it probably preceeded an all in orgy in some Euro porn, but I could be wrong.

Who ever thought of playing slip-n-slide nude soccer was a genius. Firstly, I am rubbish at soccer so to have everyone else sliding around the place and falling over is a nice leveller for me. It’s what I do on a normal grass field. Doing it nude would be even more hilarious, but potentially dangerous.

This morning I accepted a friend request on Facebook from a 20 year old in Arizona. I think we had a mutual friend or something which is why I accepted. I noticed on his profile that he was straight, so sent a message saying I was intrigued as to why a 20 year old straight boy was sending friendship requests to a 35 year old gay man.

To which I got the reply “On the people you may know..no offense but if your gay could u remove me”. What the????

Why on earth was he sending out random friend requests when he clearly has issues with things about the people he’s sending them to? Pissed me off, but made me laugh a bit as well. So, I left him as a friend. If he’s got a problem, he can remove me.

Tonight I’ve come home in a bad mood from class because although my hamstring was feeling much better and I was still being very careful, one small move and it’s been re-strained ever so slightly. So now I’m in pain and very frustrated wondering if I’m going to be able to even do the last two classes of the term.

I’ve also come home to find that youtube has deleted my Aussielicious TV video because of supposed terms of use violations. I’m sorry but I’ve seen dozens of cocks and arses on youtube. My video had nothing offensive or sexual in nature on it. It was a video of a fit body, done. SO in rebellion, I’ve taken Aussielicious TV to Vimeo.

This has just hit my email from aussieBum. It seems their hot model has gone mad with his mates and captured their aussieBum clad madness on video. Their weekends away look like a bunch of fun, but the madness of youth. They are hot and keep getting their butts out, so who is to complain?
