I don’t know who Bikkembergs is, but I like their photoshoots. They must be a big brand to be able to afford a photoshoot like this. The only part missing is the footage of all the guys showering together and helping get all that desert dust off each other.
Dirk Bikkemberg is a belgian Fashion Designer. Very famous in Europe and the US but apparently not yet in Australia. He became famous for his sports-inspired fashion.
Bikkembergs are huge in America and Europe. Typical that we can’t get it in Australia and just one of many major overseas brands that we can’t buy here..
bikkembergs was known for footwear at the start as part of the Antwerp 6 in the late 80′s. He is a menswear designer but started womenswear later on. it was during 2001/02 that he started heading into sportswear. he is the official uniform designer of the belgian football team (soccer). he uses gorgeous and hunky men for all his fashion shows and photo shoots. i had a crush on one of his models. he was beautiful and so manly…..memories…..
Okay, so now you know that Bikkembergs is big everywhere, except in Australia. The premise of the photoshoot was to bring together 11 soccer players (that’s right, they’re not professional models) in an extreme location with wide open spaces. Since the moon was not an option, they settled for a desert.
