It’s intriguing to people watch at the best of times, but on a nude beach it’s even more interesting. People say that all class distinction disappears when everyone is naked and to an extent that’s true, but you start to notice all sorts of other things, like pubic grooming habits, tan lines etc.
One thing that I find interesting is when you see guys who lie on the beach naked but put their swimming costume on to go into the water. I can slightly understand the guys that do it the other way around, they might like tan lines, but why deny yourself the pleasure of swimming naked? To feel the water caress your entire body. It’s one of life’s simplest but most irresistable pleasures.
maybe they are worried someone might steal their clothes when they are in the water swimming? so better to be caught in their speedos, than totally naked ;)
You are absolutely right. Fascinating field of study.
My hypothesis, for what it’s worth, is that while some guys are happy to lie on the beach naked, they are concerned at the prospect of getting an erection and having to make their way back to their towel with all eyes on them. It’s often guys who are new at the whole nude beach thing.
We should be supportive and let them know we will not laugh at them if the worst happens. Stare a little maybe … but certainly not laugh.
There is no better feeling than being naked on a beach!

personally i think its a safety thing. i thnik they are scared of a bluebottle sting where you dont want one!
I’m guessing it’s pride. What might look impressive lying out on the hot sand may not be so impressive coming out of cold water.
This is my first time every posting here, and I’m glad it’s on something I’ve thought about before. I’m willing to bet that it’s because of what happens when a guy goes into cold water.
