		<description>YAY for Matt winning the Don Award. He truly deserved it for his incredibly gold medal performance in Beijing and for his compelling background. Which is what really should matter, he was awarded for that, after all. 
I have to highlight the fact that Australia seems to me like an enlightened and accepting society for the way Matt has been treated by the general/mainstream Australian media. People couldn't care less about him being gay. This shouldn't be an issue for anybody, as it isn't for him at all.

It's really great that Aussies have this relaxed attitude that as long as you are a great athlete and bring sporting glory to your country, the rest doesn't matter. I very much doubt he would have been recognised and given such prestigious award. if he was American.Seems like he has the right nationality!
I wish him all the best in the future :)

Oh....and he looks mighty fine in suit...Sooooo gorgeous! &#60;33</description>
