With the global economy down the toilet and the Aussie dollar losing 28 cents to the US dollar in a matter of a few weeks, I’m getting nervous about our proposed trip to Burning Man next year. The plan was to hit Burning Man with a couple of mates then for me, and the friends if they want to, to go to Vegas and see a couple of the resident Cirque Du Soleil shows before heading off to experience the wonders of New York.
I really don’t know if I can save enough at this rate with the economy the way it is and with other plans and expenses… Any rich benefactors out there? Why wouldn’t you want to go to Burning Man? Granted these photos paint a misleading picture of a naked utopia but I’m sure there is a pretty free atmosphere. I can’t wait… if I get there.

Burning Man is amazing. Such an interesting place
You’ll have to put the Donation button back up and get some sponsors. I was hoping to see you in person, but it doesn’t sound like you were interested in visiting the Pacific Northwest…oh well. (Different Mark than above by the way.)
I’ve got to get there myself. Maybe next summer is the time. I have enough vacation time to do it now.
Keep me posted. Especially if you come to NYC. It may not be the Hilton, but you’d be welcome to crash at my place.
