Tonight I’m going to start taking nominations for the next Aussielicious Awards, once I decide the category. But for now it’s 7:35 on Monday morning and I’m getting ready for another week at work. I slept like a baby last night and I’m feeling good.
The photos above are merely just to put a nice visual image in mind for the start to the week. We all know I’m fond of a communal shower. If I ever built a gym, which I seriously doubt I ever will, it will have at least half the showers being communal. I don’t know why there are thirteen guys in the shower in the right, but I’m going to assume it’s on set of a porn shoot and in my mind it was fantastic.

It’s such a shame the days of open showers are gone - every gym I have been to in the last couple of years have frosted glass between each shower stall, and plastic flaps covering the front of the shower cubicle.
One of the best things about being a guy was the lack of inhibition we have when we’re together in changerooms. I’ve even noticed guys are now shy when walking from locker to shower / back - everyone covers up with a towel, when before with open showers there seemed to be more openness in the lockeroom in general.
Are there any gym showers in Sydney left that are communal?
not that i studied that last pic for any great length of time, dreaming i was there or anything… ;) but there are 14 men in the shower :P

Here in the US, at any rate, communal showers are a thing of the past. Health departments have decided that “trench drains”, which communal showers contain, present a health hazard should the common drain line clog or back up. It is pretty much embodied in all building codes in the US that gyms, etc. now have individual showers. It’s such a shame because, aside from the eye candy, it was really nice chatting with other guys while showering.
