Ryen, I wonder if you would object to being referred to as a ‘faggot’ or some other defamatory comment relating to an aspect of your life that you had nothing to do with creating. Anthony’s height, like every other measurement is irrelevant to his attraction, appeal, sexiness etc. That comment does you no justice. Are we not the butt of enough derogatory remarks about our sexuality already, without being insulted by one of our own. I was actually annoyed at Brenton’s comment which said “only 5′1″ from what I understand but he’s sexy, articulate and out and proud”. Saying but implies that the height is also an issue that can be overlooked because of the other attributes. Let’s try to avoid slagging each other off at least.

Ryen FYI,there’s no such thing as a midget, and Anthony Callea isn’t a dwarf either. Brenton, I think Anthony is 5′2″ tall and although I’m taller than that, standing beside him, he doesn’t appear vertically challenged. What’s height got to do with being a ’stunner’? He’s a helluva gorgeous-looking guy with a voice to die for - and he has a lot of female fans, from the very young right through all the generations to the goldie oldies. He is fabulous as Boq/The Tin Man in Wicked of Oz, and he’s certainly a very interesting and versatile entertainer of whom Australia can be immensely proud.

Congratulations on winning this poll, Anthony. Extremely well-deserved amongst tough competition.
