I’m having a very lazy Saturday today, partly because I’m still not up to full speed and partly because all my friends are out of town, sick themselves or busy. So I’ve just sat and watched an old Batman. I love the mythology behind superheros and their evolution. I think the appeal of Batman is that he doesn’t actually have a super power, just truckloads of gadgets, knowledge, training and passion.
It got me thinking. What would you want as your super power? Growing up swimming and at the beach I always loved the idea of Aquaman, but let’s face it, he’s a little average on dry land. I would love to be able to fly, it would really come in handy, especially given Sydney’s traffic problems at the moment. The other bonus is that you could get away with some bad food and not worry about your abs, they are built in to your costume. Handy.
Probably some sort of shapeshifting…
Wouldn’t mind to have a bod like Robin, and his powers. Being a sidekick can have its advantedges too.
I think being able to open my mouth wider would be a great super power…for a gay guy.
I preferred the sidekicks to some of the super heros. Robin instead of Batman, Aqualad instead of Aquaman, Superboy instead of Superman (I know - they are the same, just at different points in their life.)
If I could only have one super power, it would be to able to understand and user languages. It would be nice to order Chinese food in Chinese. Speak hebrew with my co-worker from Israel. Turn off all subtitles/captions on movies and listen in the film’s “native tounge”.
Of course, have an metabolism like superman’s would be wonderful too!

I’d have to say either flying or teleporting, just for the convenience.
Or maybe the power to stop time, so i could go to a public place, stop time, undress everyone, unpause time for like 2 seconds, then pause time and redress everyone and then unpause it again
My super power would be to change into whatever the person found cute
only to help them out of course!.
