Have noticed that sad, "lost" look in your eyes in other pix. If it's a way you feel often, please get some help. I went for 2 decades clinically depressed without medication or counseling. For the last 18 months, after I finally fixed the chemical imbalance in my brain and worked on some new ways of reacting to the world, my life has been so positively different.

My counselor says happy people are:

1. Authentic: Honest with themselves and others

2. Non-Judgmental: "Judgmental" is when your judgments make you unhappy (for example, comparing yourself negatively to others)

3. Present: Live fully in the moment, not regretting the past or fearing the future

4. Grateful: For the little as well as the big blessings in life

Very best wishes from Chicago. Take care, Brenton.

Well, well well....this doesn't sound much like you at all. Sorry for the troubles....they seem to all pile up at the same time, don't they? I send you wishes for a good head about your shoulders, a tender heart open to pain and happiness, and a better tomorrow. You already know that I care for you.....

Things will get better.
WE all go through these depressions.
Just the other day: On my birthday? and my best friend of 25 years? didn't call.
Shit happens and we get over it and move on :)

Here's an answer that works for many:

Happiness is not achieved by the conscious pursuit of happiness; it is generally the by-product of other activities.
 - Aldous Huxley

I have found being too absorbed by things going on in my own life is what can be depressing.

So, go do something for someone else, write or call someone to brighten their day.

Just get out of yourself. Where that may lead could bring happy surprises.

I would love to introduce you to this guy I know... He's beautiful, amazing eyes and body... Has a way with words, funny as all get out... He also has this amazing inner strength... A little crazy, but then again who isn't... I think you would love him... I also think you have alot of the same interests... and funny enough he lives in Australia...
The thing with crappy days is there are only 24 hours in them.

By the time you wake up the next morning, yesterday will be far behind you.
