White wonders

I love it when mother nature throws up an interesting quirk or anomaly, maybe as gay men we can identify with it or something. I found these images of a white Stag in the Scottish Highlands, a white Killer Whale near Alaska and a white Moose in Montana over at Towleroad and just thought they were cool.

I’m off to bed now, early start for the gym.

I read the story about the white killer whale in a local paper. Weird, wild, and crazy! I love those kinds of stories that remind us that Mother Nature isn’t quite as predictable as we’d like to think.

Did you hear about the guy in Pennsylvania that was out hunting… (think it was the first day of the Bear hunting season here in the states) and saw a White (Albino) black bear! He said he knew it was an unusual bear, so what did he do? He Killed it! It was ONLY 47 Pounds! A BABY!!! When the announced it on the news, they said it like it was some fantastic accomplishment! Apparently Black bears occasionally are born with white, cinnamon or brown coloring. But Albino is even more rare. Here’s a link to a pic of a white one http://www.nwtwildlife.com/Publications/images/whiteblackbear.htm

I had read about the killer whale, but the other two are cool, too. All are really beautiful. Creates a better appreciation of nature.
