I thought the guy was joking when he said something about "poofter" until he knocked me to the ground, my glasses twisted and blood pouring from my head. As he walked away I screamed out (perhaps stupidly) "Get a life" and he returned to bash me again. What could have happened if I'd persisted with my protest? God knows.
