A very kind reader sent me an email with his accounts of visits to Burning Man and included these images of the “tree of life”. The tree was at the 1999 Burning Man. By day water dripped from the ends of the branches which provided relief from the heat for many “burners”, most of whom are nude. By night, when the temperature plummets in the desert, they pump propane through the branches and the tree becomes a beautiful campfire. What a fantastic idea!
Ohhh, I really want to go to Burning Man! I’ve “dreamt” about it for years. It sounds like an amazing and one of a kind experience.
