Not having an unlimited supply of wealth at times puts a few limits on one’s life, which isn’t always a bad thing. I’m sure with vast sums of money at my disposal I would have a massive collection of trivial stuff, especially of the shiny and fun variety. I saw these shorts on a certain male model (click the pic to see who) and decided they would make the perfect outfit for the Mardi Gras after party, yet beind dSquared I couldn’t afford them even if I could find them here in Sydney. So my mission to find small short short short red shorts began. When I get something particular in my head I can’t accept a poor substitute but unless one of my loyal readers happens to be one of the Caten twins who make up dSquared, I’m going to have to. I’ve found a pair of shorts in a vague approximation of the right style and I’m going to have to try and dye them red and have them shortened. Fingers crossed.
they are nice shorts. you would look good in them. if i lived in sydney i would offer to make a pair for you. fitted to you of course. you ay find cheaper option in a pair of lacoste…..as there is a resurgence of the shorter and tighter fitting short happening you should be able to find something similar. also mooks are bringing back the old stubbies in fashion colours. pop into a mooks store and have a look. good luck finding a substitute……george
I know what you mean about not being able to afford what you want. George brings up a good point. Do you know anyone that can make something similar? Every gay man needs a good seamtress in his life. I have one! :-) Can’t wait to see a pic of you in your red shorts.
I am curious now - what’s a link to the shorts for sale online?
Drew
I’d say we have a fundraiser for Brenton for those shorts… HOWEVER!! Brenton needs to give us a FULL report of what happens at the after party, including pictures of all the guys he’ll be picking up and taking home, plus all the nasty details of the party at home! Deal or no deal?? ;)
I love leggy men
Brenton, how about some guard shorts from eyeline (in Sydney):http://www.eyeline.com.au/Catalog/View_Products.asp?gp=Uniforms&cat=38
While I wish you all the best in this endeavor, maybe it’s a sign that I’m really getting old, but I just can’t see expending so much effort for a party outfit. I don’t think I’ve ever bought clothing or an outfit specifically for a party unless it was a costume party.
Brenton, isn’t there a d squared store on elizabeth st. just down from oxford?
those are hot. and i knew it was my boy before i even clicked!
